Good grief how many hydravions were built and with very small differences. Looks like everybody and his kid sister had their own design...
Looks like Photobucket agrees with you and is refusing to load the next one so it will have to be OH

Thanks one11

For the kicks of it, I made a translation from Russian using a Russian translation program. Readable, mostly.

In 1931 command of aircraft of Naval Forces of Japan has addressed to firm "Aichi" with the offer on working out of a prospecting flying boat which could be started from catapults of the large ships.
In the technical project possibility of performance of following tasks - maintenance of actions of submarines with the big autonomy, distant investigation, updating of shooting of ship artillery in a night-time made a reservation.
Morishige was engaged in directly designing of a hydroplane Exhaust, but the general management of works was carried out by Tetsuo Miko. The plane has turned out strongly similar to hydroplane Heinkel HD-55. Scope of a wing of three-local flying boat АВ-4 didn't exceed scope of a wing of a single biplane, the plane had an all-metal design. External consoles of a wing have executed collapsible for reduction of overall dimensions of an airplane with a view of convenience of placing in ship hangars. Have aboard the plane put the 9-cylinder engine of liquid cooling Gasuden Urakaze with dvuhlopastnym the wooden pushing air screw.
The first prototype of plane AV-4 have collected in May, 1932, during tests it was necessary to bring weight of changes in a design, in particular, to reconsider a configuration of tail plumage. Results of tests have turned out very encouraging though runway qualities of a flying boat have been subjected criticism. Also the customer hasn'ted not comfortable placing of crewmen in a cabin and the bad review.
Despite of remarks, imperial military fleet of Japan has approved plane acceptance on arms under the name "an experimental night prospecting flying boat 6-Shi". In 1932-1934 for carrying out of operational tests it has been constructed five more prototypes. By 1934 plane AV-4 already was considered become outdated, therefore a batch production to develop not steels, and three of the constructed skilled cars have transferred to Japanese research association of air transport - "Nippon Koku Yuso Kenkyusho".
On civil service hydroplanes have received the name "АВ-4 a transport flying boat". At all planes scope of a wing has been increased to 14,00 m, and cases have a little truncated. The first civil flying boat АВ-4 was used for transportation of cargoes; useful loading took place in the forward part of a fuselage released from machine-gun installation and other military-oriented equipment. The second civil plane have converted under transportation of five passengers, thus the cabin of the pilot has been transferred to the nose of a fuselage, and the closed passenger cabin with small windows equipped in an average part of a fuselage. The third flying boat АВ-4 in a civil variant resembled the second, but quantity of places for passengers have increased to six and have made big cabin windows. All three flying boats intensively were maintained till 1937 in the waters washing Japanese islands.
By first two modifed flying boats АВ-4 engines Urakaze have been kept, but on the third have established motor Napier Lion capacity of 450 l. With. All three civil planes in the sizes and flight characteristics didn't differ almost from a military variant.
Now I am bone try, so now Open House.
