I think your last float-plane was a Loughead so I started there first
Well spotted. How about a Commonwealth Wackett Wirraway for yours

G'day Graeme,

Good to see you back mate, I hope you had a great holiday

I wonder if your silhouette is a Tachikawa Ki-36, Type 98 (Ida) with the fixed gear hidden by the angle ??

Sincere apologies. I had a look at the photo I hurriedly silhouetted and it turns out it's a flying replica (not very accurate) of the aircraft I thought it to be...does that make sense?

At least I'm consistent...at stuffing up simple silhouette and cockpit challenges.

Here's a more accurate plan view....

Not Japanese or Australian.

North American. Very similar to the NA-50 but this aircraft had a Pursuit designation...

That could possibly be the North American NA-68 originally for the Royal Thai Air Force.

Then all I can think of is P64.

Sorry Mel, completely missed your post! The NA-68/P-64.

Your control. But I didn't see your post, only David's P-64.
The NA-68 as I understand it is the P-64.

While waiting I had a quick Google and they seem to use the NA-50/P-64 for the same aircraft when describing the replica?
The source of the photo silhouette says it's a P-64 but that can't be right as it's adapted from a Texan but the internet also says it was built to resemble the NA-50, so as usual I'm somewhat confused.

David has posted a challenge. Mel, are you happy to press on with that?

Oh well....

I'll be back in 50 minutes:
The background looks crystal clear, like a modern photo so possibly in a flying museum. First thought was the General Aircraft Genairco...now looking for another thought...

like a modern photo
It is indeed, but the aeroplane is airworthy and privately owned.

Back again soon (about another 45 mins).

Now I'm confused!!!!!!!!!

Graeme, in your post 20094 you gave me control. I note that it now gives it to Mel.

Would you both like me to withdraw mine?

I did. I missed Mel's post. By the time I corrected it, you nipped back and posted a challenge.

I don't think Mel would mind? Press on? What do you think?

Sorry.

How about Ford Silver Centenary 1930. Ozzie. Pic one above Genairco. Restored by Rob Felton and Rod Edwards, Rod being the grandson of the designer Selby Ford.

Just hitchhiking again. Started looking why would you say first Genairco, and found mine next to Genairco on a list, with the pic that LM had used. Does not need much .

Still, you did good.

I on the other hand have caused enough confusion/chaos for one day, so I'll bid you goodnight.
Gotta get some sleep so I confuse you all again tomorrow!

Cheers
Graeme.
