The way those windows come together at the nose, and the fact that there doesn't seem to be much nose ahead of the cockpit, I would hazard a guess at something like a DH Dragon Rapide?

But then, I know nothing of these sorts of aircraft, lol! I am at home in the cockpit of a DC-3/Dakota but anything other than that, in this 'era', is out of my league.

Welcome to the thread MrBernoulli. Sorry this one is not the DH Dragon Rapide. This aircraft only had one engine.

A re-entry vehicle mock-up/prototype, maybe the Boeing X-20 Dyna Soar ??
