BSD is correct. The earliest "glass cockpit", a NASA-FAA Boeing 737 TCV (Terminal Configured Vehicle) was equipped with flexible workstations of enhanced instrumentation based on the Boeing 2707 SST.
Well Duh! I did see that cockpit, feel rather foolish now. But I couldn't get the external cockpit on the NASA Convair 580 out of my mind and knew that was not it.

Good find.

Clouds of doubt but maybe a YOKOSUKA P1Y1,FRANCES? if the TU-2 is a no go.............. As I get older making a decision and sticking to it gets harder but then Mel's cockpits get harder too!

Mel's Challenge

Sorry aviatte1138 this one was not Russian or Japanese. It is also harder to find cockpits that have not been presented before.

The AI and compass may well both be fixed reference/moving aeroplane type - ie Soviet.

Or Chinese...

But which type? No idea!

At around 3:00 am I awoke and my one remaining brain cell stuttered into action.......

The result?

Cant Z-1018 "Leone" perhaps?

aviate1138
Sorry it gave you a disturbed night but it was worth it in the end, as it is indeed the cockpit of the Cant Z.1018

Some history on the aircraft can be found here:-
CANT Z.1018 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
You have control.

Thanks Mel. Finding a 'new' and suitable cockpit pic is harder than finding hens teeth!

Two hours and nothing remotely suitable or it has already been listed........

Must dash....... so.......... OPEN HOUSE....
