Another clue:
You will notice the QRA-style standings are all at one end, i.e. launch would be towards the 'camera' end. The clue is that this end points East (ish), not West...

Not wishing to hijack the thread, but having looked at `google` as far as Vladivostok, and not found it, for those spotters interested, there are a couple of interesting Mil airfields just N of Vldk,at Artem, with loads of Migs/Sukhois?An/Tu etc;however ,at a place called Galenki about 60 miles N of Vdvk, on the western taxiway is a small jet, appears to have almost delta wing shape, with a straight tailplane, and tandem cockpit;possibly looks like the Mig/MBtrainer,or....and why are the runway numbers the same at both ends ??,or 180 out?Send a PM if you don`t want to clutter the thread...

We're getting pretty warm...
By the way - sycamore is right - the runway IDs are 'upside down' at Galenki. 02 is the south-facing threshold, and 20 is north facing. That can't be right. Good spot!!
Anyway, the mystery 'drome is not Galenki, so keep going!

Dunno about you lot, but very interesting scanning Russian and Chinese airfields; several with over 50 SU 27/Mig29,Su24,An124,hordes of helos,Russian Dak,Mig19, 3 `nuc.subs(>400ft long),and 3 Lightnings(in Kuwait)...Oh,and a couple of Backfires,..no Bears though..

I wonder if this is outside the UK? I first thought of Lossie/Kinloss area given the coastline, but it doesn't look as agricultural and populated as the UK usually does.
Looks as if the aerodrome might be in the process of being dismantled - a lack of buildings, and plant working along the far runway. Abandoned after WW2? It's the classic 3 runways pattern. The b+w photo might be 1950-60's vintage, any later more likely to be colour. Is that the line of perhaps an original grass strip at the upper left? A road and possibly a settlement towards the sea.
The near landscape looks to be vegetated sand dunes so maybe not the channel coast, which is usually shingle.
Is that a VOR below the intersection?
Off to google earth....
