Maybe all airfields look the same in China, it reminds me strongly of the Heliport that is the Base for CITIC offshore helicopters in Shekou near Shenzhen in southern China , only rotary wing activity when I was there about 4 yrs ago. Super Puma city but with a small GA runway

Not Shekou ,Wunper. The industrial scenery in the photograph belies the architectural beauty of the city it once served.

Correct. I made it a little obvious with my last clue!

It's not just you, Flap40. I can only get on about one day in three, and that's between 23:00 and 24:00 GMT

As to your latest photo, it could be anywhere, anytime. My guess is Cannes, 1922.

Not Cannes or 1922 but you are in the right country.

Longchamps? It does look like a Farman Longhorn. Seem to remember that the horse racing & air racing fraternities used to use the same facilities.

In the unlikely event I'm right it's open house as I'll be (a) asleep and (b) back at the north end of the ramp for the next 24 hours (we're a heathen bunch in the Bible Belt - working on Good Friday).

Thankyou. I see the pilot is wearing a wristwatch, which was tres avant-garde for the time. Pun intended. Here is the next mystery aerodrome:

Sorry, not in Florida.

Clue #1: It was built on a sugar cane field.

Perhaps too obvious, but in view of the clue: Cane Field, Roseau, Dominica?

Sorry, not Dominica. Not in the western hemisphere. Kittyhawks once flew from here. The river has been canaled and the wet-lands drained to make room for the present airport, which serves the adjacent city.
