Jesus mate let it go. You have already been advised you have won the battle in keeping QF guys out, and it seems however you cant move on.

I can think of plenty of QF guys who would take Darwin right now as they are otherwise facing losing their houses as they move into a second year of no income while Alan transfers flying they used to do to every man and his dog.

Its one thing to want to protect your patch, but another thing entirely to then sink the boot in after the fact and gloat like a pig.

You are a disgrace.

OK what did I miss?

He's updated some info regards recruitment and indicates that type rated are currently being preferred, logical both operationally and $$ wise by Alliance one would think.

Personally don't think ignoring the fact there is a large pool of non QF pilots who wouldn't mind getting a gig as well - and some of whom are also probably in financial strife - reads too well, "yeah there may be others but....well, they're not Qantas pilots are they!!"

Can't see how he's "put in the boot" - hell don't think even a top end moccasin or the most luxurious slipper would be a reasonable analogy. ;)

Cheers.

First of all, calm the FCUK!! down mate!! I was simply giving an update. Only you read into that as some kind of dig at QF guys. The poster before asked about who had been hired. Im not sure what your issue is but you are the one who needs to let it go, stop making everything so personal, grow up man!!

I can think of plenty of guys who have no jobs at all, nothing to go back to once this pandemic is over, and you think it’s only QF guys who should be not losing their houses?

ScepticalOptomist 10th Mar 2021 06:12

I love the camaraderie between pilots here in Oz. Just like a big happy family.

I think some of you need to put the devices down and go do something peaceful before you hurt yourself.

:ugh:

Yeah exactly, plenty of pilots and cabin crew lost their jobs and on top of that were not earning Qantas salaries prior to losing their jobs so most likely had less savings but clearly they do not matter, they are not QF and all of that!!

Talk about having your head in the sand!!

Kaboobla 10th Mar 2021 22:29

I am glad you are an expert on each QF pilots financial situation also. It seems your talents and expertise knows no bounds.

Small point of order: the majority of the people currently on LWOP or stood down are actually ex JQ / Alliance / Cobham or from the RAAF. They have only been in the company a short period of time on S/O wages. So maybe not so wealthy at all

But hey, this isn't about your purlile envy of others, or the desire to drag people down to your level rather then work on improving your own lot right ?

sumtingwong 10th Mar 2021 23:12

Meanwhile, Alliance crew are out quietly operating, doing their jobs and achieving growth in a decimated industry.

They’re not on here monopolising this or other airline threads on some Sussex partisan whinge about pay scales, superannuation accumulation, who flies a 737 better or sooking about who’ll want to go to DRW because they did a dry season with Frontier on Elcho in the early naughties.

Maybe there really is something in the title of this thread?

How good is Alliance.

Never ceases to amaze me how quickly the discussion on this website resembles a year 5 conversation in the playground.

j3pipercub 11th Mar 2021 02:41

As I have said previously, Alliance seem like a pretty good operation to work for. Their f*ckwit filter seems to work quite well, with the usual one or two that slip through.

All the crew I know who work for them seemed very happy even before the pandemic, when there were lots of options and other employment opportunities.

Kaboobla, I suggest logging off for a while. If TFH2 is making you that angry that you are mentioning them in a random unrelated thread, you may have gone full spanner.

Im really not sure what your problem is but you need to grow up and fast!! You are like a child that just takes everything so personally.

Im certainly not wishing any ill will to other pilots and I really dont know where you get this idea that I am or that Im somehow envious of others. I actually have a good job.

Alliance 190 recruitment

Hi,

Has anyone out that that applied for the recently advertised E190 positions with Alliance had a response ? Or does anyone know if they have started the interviews ?

Thanks

Ronny

F35 looks great. Anyone know what the aircraft on the tail are? Thinking a Spitfire and a 737 but wasn't sure about the others. Well done Alliance!!

I believe Darwin spots have been filled and they actually we're calling people who applied in the past with type ratings etc

Yes they have started to interview and have hired pilots, I know of 2 people who were hired, both type rated and obviously experience on type. The trainers at Alliance are ex E190 VA pilots. Rumour has it on loan from Virgin.

SHVC 17th Mar 2021 21:07

How awesome does that livery look, it will certainly be a head turner on the tarmac.

Whats with the Rego tho?

Any idea what coin is being offered to fly the Ejets? I've heard rumours the Ejet drivers are getting paid less than Fokker pilots. Any truth in that?
