Bobby I wouldn't be so keen on this. Chances of succeeding are very low

Sure, we'll just get them to take someone unsuitable in every other aspect, just to please the minority of whatever persuasion. If you have evidence of anything other than equal opportunity, best take it to the commissioner, sure they'd love to make a case. Pissing and moaning on here will get you everywhere, NOT.

If you think that color and race are part of the selection criteria, then you are sadly mistaken. If you have proof of otherwise, feel free to use the legal system to it's fullest extent. Casting aspersions on the process, without evidence to do so is not useful to anyone.

N.B. My post was written prior to your editing of your previous post.

Is there other people out there that still are yet to receive a response?

Hey Bobby

Those who've made it to the next round have been contacted for interviews to be conducted in Brisbane.

Hope that helps

Lol? So some people have rejection letters some have had interviews and some no response at all yet?

That doesn't sound right.

Perhaps they're still going through and notifying applicants?

The assessment centres have definitely all been completed. And the final interviews are scheduled for 8th of October in Brissy.

For every door closing another opens. For those that missed out, it may be the best thing that ever happened to you as it forces you to consider other careers. Almost all applicants will be intelligent and determined people who can succeed in other careers and afford to fly where they like when they like once they make it. Just a quick read of the discussions under this forum will show how your life will pan out if accepted as a professional pilot. Some good some not so fun. The best piece of advice I ever got was from someone who knew me, after a first ever rejection letter said "people like you will always land on your feet. Don't worry". And they were right. The hardest thing is making the break, it is easy to fall into the "but i am a pilot" trap and be blind to the other opportunities. Is was a fun career, but other careers can bring even more satisfaction. Some of it is luck too. Well done to all that made it but for the others, it could be the start of something new. Keep an open mind.

Great pass rate in the first cohort of 8.

Only six remaining , a pass rate which can at best be a whole 75%

Whoo - Hoooo ; keep up the magnificent work Virgin , what a super selection you made.

7 remain from the first course. 1 resigned as they were unable to maintain a Class 1 medical.

All 7 have passed CPL/MECIR and are currently doing ATPL theory.

The cadet that resigned had numerous problems and incidents. The "medical" reason for them leaving was just a cover.

Thanks for the offer of Tissues but I didn't apply and am not interested.

I just think is wonderful to see that the graduating class is 4/7 girl power. What true legends in diversity Virgin are ? , they should tell the PM how to do it.

Expecting this years class to be an overwhelming celebration of all things feminine - it is just wonderful and makes me so proud to call myself an Australian.

All we need now is Virgin to apply the same focus on making a profit - as they do on being gender crusaders and it will be even more wonderful.

Well I think it would just be lovely to see the organisation make a profit wouldn't it - it has been what ? five , no six years ?

No sorry didn't they make a startling 0.1 % of turnover of profit recently - they were whopping it up big time 23 mill on turnover of what ten billion plus.

Way to go mate

Oh, you mean like the profit one star would make if it had to fend for itself, with no handouts from the mother ship.

Course just announced at FTA another 8 - a great opportunity

Isn't it fantastic to have an Australian company that supports sisterhood so stridently ?

Where is the photo on the Hon Penny Wong - handing out the staff id cards ?
