That sucks and makes no sense. I am up to the assessment day in Melbourne and have 125 hours and only an ATAR of 59.95 however I have completed 5 CPL exams and thought I'd be way over qualified but I have no idea where their heads are at.

Yes
At this point only people who have passed the initial test will be progressed. If you didn't have the mins you wouldn't have been offered the test to begin with. That is unless all the people have now been tested and they are looking closely at your applications already for the cull.

Cheers pilotchute! I was orginally under the impression that they would have some kind of weighted or points system based on your education, cognitive test results, flight hours, etc.
Thanks again for clearing things up.
EDIT: Just got an email. Got cleared for the next round.

Havnt been on the scene for a year or two as doing something different but thought i would send in an application. Trade background, now studying a med degree , PPL holder 4 yrs with all CPL subject credits 180 hrs 25yrs old and did not make any stage. I do feel better that i did send an application in, as i can imagine i would be kicking myself if i never did... so good news theres one less guy in the race! lol
p.s first post in a number of years, felt compelled to give a spill on my background as it may benifit others in knowing the nature of other applications that were received. Which was something i used to search for in these cadet topics when i was in school looking at cadetships back when Qantas had them. Have heard/seen alot of changes in the industry over the last 7 years and i am not even employed in the industry. But hey thats a different topic..
Congrats and best of luck to all those that make it!
cheers

Well done to those whom have made it to the inteview stage
. Can any of you give us an idea of how many questions in the 20min Cognitive test you got through and how many you think you got correct? I made it up to question 28 and think I got 2 or 3 incorrect but have missed out on an interview.
