The thing is, that in the years before COVID, there were the opportunities... Gatwick, London City and Manchester. With no need for Leeds/Bradford and Norwich meaning a smaller fleet would have been needed.

In the post Flybe era, Birmingham also materialised, so East Midlands should have been dropped.

In the post COVID era, there could be Gatwick, ( I can see a BA presence there in future ), Birmingham and Manchester. Maybe Heathrow and / or LCY could be added. If there is a real need for Southampton then so be it, and of course Alderney. So, in short, Alderney, Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham. Possibly Southampton, and Heathrow and/or LCY. Scrap the other routes.

Yes, I have done it myself , on occasion. But, it is far from convenient & I far prefer flying on from Gatwick with EZY/BAW/UAE than taking the trip to & from Heathrow. If AUR were to codeshare with BAW, & if BAW no longer fly out of Gatwick, & if I had to fly with AUR to Gatwick, there is very little attraction to have to go to & from Heathrow in order to pick up a flight with BAW.

Anyone know where the Embrear was jetting off to on Monday Morning ; was heading north-west out of Guernsey without a flight number

Birmingham to operate another F1 charter, this time to Faro

Looks like the Embraer is off on F1 duty again, having routed GCI-BHX earlier and now just arriving SAW (Istanbul). 3hr35m en-route must be one the longer sectors it has flown since it was delivered.

Wycombe 16th Nov 2020 12:43

Noticed that the Embraer positioned direct from GCI to SAW this morning. Obviously a positioning flight, but perhaps the longest sector it has performed off GCI's little runway?

Maybe it was empty, on its way to pick up pax from the Grand Prix. If so, not so impressive.

Almost certainly the case I would say, which is why I referred to it as a positioning flight.

I wonder if they'll be venturing to Bahrain and Abu Dhabi (for the next races) aswell, that would be a stretch!

G-NSEY has been used to shuttle Racing Point F1 team to all European races this year using flight numbers 11 and 18 for all flights, these being the race numbers of their two drivers.
