At a guesss they meant Southend (SEN)

Sorry, from a pilots point of view SND is the name of Southends NDB.
Those of you who know EZY routes SOF was not due to start until November so obviously a test / positioning flight. My point was engineers are starting to prep 319s now as well.

DomyDom 9th Jul 2020 10:37

Does anyone know if drinks/ snacks are still available on EZY flights as is the case with FR and LS? Is so presumably it will be with contactless card payment.

'A limited Bistro service will be available on most flights. Brochures will not be available on board so please check the easyJet mobile app or website for the most up to date menu card, or with our crew on board. All our flights will now be cashless with only card payments.'

Couple of practical questions if I may:
How will this work if you have to wear a mask?
And won't people be afraid of drinking anything that encourages toilet use?

I flew FR last week and they were offering a full inflight service and you were permitted to remove masks to eat or drink. All of the legacy carriers - BA, KL etc are offering a meal service on long haul so guess same principle applies. For info I didn’t notice anything different at all on the FR flight except everybody wearing masks and the front toilet was blocked for crew (including the usual scrum to get off after seatbelt signs switched off).

Interesting, Thanks for the reply :ok:

Are easy messing about with the schedules?
i was looking for flights to Hamburg from Manchester on 7th September a few hours ago and found a flight at a great price. Just looked again now and it’s completely disappeared from the app on that date...?

inOban 24th Jul 2020 00:12

A very good price = hardly any tickets sold
EZY will know how far in advance people book that route and the computer may have decided that there was little chance of an economic load.
The fact that airlines are restarting routes doesn't mean that lots of people want to fly, or indeed use any form of public transport. I expect lots of flights by every airline to be pulled.

Marks a mockery then for the merits of wearing a mask. Are passengers expected to hold their breath while eating and drinking?

No, it's the length of exposure that is the risk factor. The longer the mask is off, the higher the risk.

I’ve noticed as of late, a few easyJet Europe A319s (now G-EZAY/GO) have transferred back to the UK. Would anyone know if it would be right to presume this is to cover and replace the A319s that are coming off lease from easyJet UK? Cheers

Correct, all of the 34 aircraft that are leaving the fleet are on the UK AOC. EZU aircraft being transferred To EZY

Thank you very much.

Jethro notes that EZY have withdrawn A320 G-EZWG, which is only 8 years old, and must be the first 320 out of service. At Lasham without engines.

Thanks for that, but does that mean that Jethro is wrong in this case, and 'WG is on maintenance, and not WFU?
