If he did Jet2 would certainly move fast to fill any gaps at Stansted but I don’t see anything changing in aviation what so ever.

Well let’s put it this way the airline I work for has a very different Brexit plan to Ryanair and we certainly wouldn’t be putting unnecessary doubt into our customers minds over the risk of booking summer flights in 2019 but guess that can only go in our favour over Ryanair’s.

I think we all know that Ryanair talk the talk but at the end of the day will do nothing. O'Leary is just a gob from across the Irish sea who likes the sound of his own voice.

Chief Marketing Officer Kenny Jacobs has already distanced himself from MOL`s & Ryanair`s publicity yesterday..

& in reply to an above post...

"O'Leary is just a gob from across the Irish sea"....now now, hardly correct is it?..

"who likes the sound of his own voice"....well I`m sure he does as he replies when in the bank & asked how much would he like to deposit today?........$1 billion!!!..That would sound likeable in the extreme I feel..

Our best export, love how he gets so many people worked up ;)

southside bobby 7th Mar 2018 15:12

Absolutely correct....they fall for it every time..

It keeps "Ryanair" front & centre every day..

How much is Ryanair worth nowadays?..

MOL worth $1 billion+ and with less than 5% of the company!!..

davidjohnson6 14th Mar 2018 21:54

All Ryanair routes to/from Oradea to be suspended over winter 2018/19. Unknown whether any of these routes will return for summer 2019

Oradea-Bergamo
Oradea-Girona
Oradea-Memmingen
Oradea-Stansted
Oradea-Weeze

Also the only route from Craiova to Valencia will be cancelled next October. Even though the route has a great load factor -> 93% in February.

j636 15th Mar 2018 11:12

New routes to Turkey from DUB, BTS to Dalaman both weekly from June.

And there's the probably answer. 93% less than the network 95% average. looking for lower performers to chop/ move around. Would be interesting to see what yields it did though. Can't imagine a great deal imho

Lon12 15th Mar 2018 13:47

Do you think 95% is the real lf ... in February...?

I don’t think so... in fact in Spain is quite difficult to find routes with a lf more than 90%

95% average? Maybe in Canarias but any Spanish airport has 95% average. And same in France or Germany...

Ryanair has agreed to acquire 75% of Laudamotion for €50 million ($62 million).

Ryanair have taken a 24.9 per cent share in 'new' Austrian airline LaudaMotion fronted by Nikki Lauda. The share will increase to 75 per cent subject to EU approval. Ryanair will provide management and financial assistance as well as leasing six aircraft to LaudaMotion to fulfill its full flying programme for summer 1918.
I see the share price of Wizz has dropped nearly two per cent on the news with the news that they will have stuff competition at Vienna.

Well I suppose it is natural to expect a significant increase in traffic as the War nears its end... :ok:

compton3bravo 20th Mar 2018 14:23

Oops sorry - of course it should be 2018, silly me!

LGS6753 21st Mar 2018 10:52

This is a major story.

Ryanair gets a serious foothold in Germany, Austria & Switzerland.
They have the opportunity to experience the operation of A320 aircraft.
They will operate with two brands.
They can leverage on Niki Lauda's reputation and celebrity.

They can leverage on Niki Lauda's reputation and celebrity.

A fascinating prospect; MOL & Niki around a conference/negotiating table. One a famous celebrity, the other an infamous well known person. Both hard as nails; both rich enough to not be scraping for every last €. Both men of vision for what they want with their airline, but will that vision be compatible. It might seem to be now, but what about 5-7 years down the road as one party tries to squeeze the other into their mould.
