[QUOTE=iggie;10067201]Rob Royston What is meant by 'the designated resort's arrival day'?[/QUOTE
I mean the way that many holiday resorts served from these airports will all be on the one day, e.g.. Funchal is almost all Monday arrivals, although you can arrive on a Thursday for some bookings if you arrange travel yourself. |

Downsides were a limited choice of departure days for given destinations, as passengers would find most operators and airlines only offered the same day, and notably handling issues at the destination airport, with the need for considerable resources and overcrowding on one or two days of the week, and much less at other times. |
Ah, the old adage "if you want to go to Tenerife then it must be Tuesday" comes to mind.
|
Or, as I pointed out two days ago, if it's Thursday it must be Lanzarote.

Folowing the FlyServus episode, it seems Ryanair will return to Crotone and open routes to Bergamo and Pisa for S18

NEW DELIVERIES
Today 3 new B737-800 deliveries ferried to Dublin. Is this a record in one day? EI-GJD, EI-GJE and EI-GDY all within about 30 mins. |
Currently fleet size: 425 B738
|
Any idea when the first B73MAX are due?

Apparently Ryanair and Aer Lingus have signed a deal for connections.

February traffic up 5%. Must be the lowest increase for some time. Load factor 95%, same as last year.

Looking at January 2019 there is a Saturday flight from MAN-TFS that is in the timetable but beyond the middle of that month stops showing prices. Does anyone have any guidance on when this will be available to book (if ever) - based on historical knowledge. I don't often use Ryanair so not too familiar with how they release flights
Edit to add: now available to book |

Ryanair will no longer charge trainee pilots almost €30,000 upfront for training under a policy change announced today. Up to now, trainees known as cadets were charged a course fee of €29,500 and were not paid until they had completed a significant portion of their training. However, in the careers section of its website, Ryanair has announced what it calls a new "sponsored" type-rating programme, under which pilots will only have to pay a one-off upfront payment of €5,000 for their training. However, pilots will also be subject to a "5 year reducing bond" binding them to the airline for that period. They will also be paid a salary from the first day of their line training. On its website, the airline described the new programme as a revolutionary, industry-leading cadet programme which was a first among low cost airlines. |
Hmmmm... Starting to ponder on Mr O'Leary's mental stability if he goes down that route, the British public are generally not that forgiving when big companies deliberately bring politics into business and strand them... On a plus note, Ryanair's competitors will be overjoyed when the airline grounds its fleet.... :ok:
