I feel their market is more realistically Middlesbrough and Teeside than Durham... |
Not including myself obviously but I would imagine that more people would spell Durham incorrectly rather than Teeside, after all the airport has been known as Teeside since the days of BKS (Northeast) days.
The decline of Teeside has greatly benefited Newcastle and that's obviously the regions choice of airport it has nothing to do with anyone unable to spell it! |
Highwide...if not the teeth there is plenty of false material originating from Beafers gob

ZOOOM! What was that? the sound of a joke crashing to earth at the side of the Tees...
|
Well your 'so called joke' came across as more of a serious statement rather than a 'cheap joke' and it wasn't funny and didn't come across as a 'joke' hence my reply.
If you tell jokes like that I thoroughly recommend that you never take up a career as a stand up comedian as your need far better material than that! |
Just a small note...
It's Teesside not Teeside |

Humour doesn't always come across very well when the medium is letters on a screen. I got the joke, Canberra, even if no one else did.
01475, at risk of going over old ground, I definitely agree that the name of the airport is a bit of a joke. Does anyone on Teesside actually call it anything other than Teesside Airport? For that matter, does anyone on Teesside (other than one or two pipsqueaks with a degree in Marketing) actually call Teesside 'The Tees Valley'?? :) |
