Titan website now stating 3 additional A321's to be added to the fleet between April-May 2018

3 Additional Airbus A321 aircraft join the Titan fleet from summer 2018

Other than G-POWT formally G-ZBAF (lets hope they have sorted the bodged lockers and sidewall panels it had after MON reconfigured it) where are the other 2 frames coming from?

MKY661 11th Apr 2018 10:22

Maybe they are getting another two former MON aircraft? Unless they've all been acquired by new owners already? I know half of them have.

Reported elsewhere as ex niki

Richard Taylor 11th Apr 2018 18:06

Given the current situation with Russia maybe just as well Titan were carrying an arsenal.

The article on Titan’s website states

Due to high demand in the ACMI lease market, the three aircraft will be placed on long term summer leases with various carriers within the UK and Europe.
I know 2 are to operate for LS. Does anyone know who the other 2 aircraft are going to operating for?

KNT544 20th Apr 2018 13:08

They are off to Tegel.

I Posted a similar post to this about 2 months ago but no one seemed to know the answer then.. wondering if anyone does now?.

BA have added more S18 flights from LGW quite a few being operated by Titan. At last check it looks like BA are leasing 3 aircraft from Titan this Summer. However BA’s schedule show that they are being operated by A320’s. Anyone know if they are adding a 3rd airport or is a 737 op from Lgw alongside the current A320’s in the fleet. ?

Also does anyone know if Titan still intend to reconfigure the A318 from a all business to all economy cabin soon?.

Thanks

Titan purchased a former British Airways Boeing 734-436 G-POWS and it's based and currently in service at LGW for summer 2018 operating on behalf of British Airways along with two Titan A320.

There may well be an additional Titan aircraft operating for British Airways ex LGW for summer 2018 but I actually think it's just the three.

I think Titan are keeping the all business layout on their A318 at least for this year anyway.

cornishsimon 21st Apr 2018 20:26

I’m sure that the 734 will be converted to freighter for the mail contract at the end of the summer season

Does anyone know when In 2Q Titan expect to take delivery of the 3 A321’s planned to join the fleet?. Also will any be painted in Titan livery?

G-POWU is one of the two ex Niki aircraft the other is to be registered G-POWV.

G-POWT - Is a former monarch aircraft G-ZBAF. Not sure what the delay has been with the delivery of the aircraft.

I saw G ZAPW in Haneda this morning, and using ZAP as call sign.
Now that is a long way in a 737 300

G-ZAPW left the Titan fleet last September. I am guessing you meant G-POWC?.

The aircraft is being used on the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca Cola, a promotional round-the-world tour to showcase the trophy awarded to the team winning the world championships in football. The tour started in late January and will visit 91 airports in 51 countries. The aircraft is on the final part of the tour now. The aircraft is due to continue to Osaka and Shizuoka before flying to Russia for the start of the World Cup.
