jet2holidays:

Newcastle - Rhodes, now on sale. :D

LS to operate the flight on a wednesday afternoon, unless poor sales dictate otherwise and seats will be bought from another charter carrier.

Flight also listed by Olympic Holidays.

Channex101 29th Jan 2008 18:10

Yeah, its going, think it will be official during the week

Flightrider 29th Jan 2008 19:30

Flybe announcing 3 x daily NCL-LGW Dash 8-400 in the next few days.

oldart 30th Jan 2008 07:13

flybe to gatwick

Announced on BBC Look North news at 0655 today, flybe to Gatwick and based aircraft?. Anyone got anymore details.

transwede 30th Jan 2008 07:43

So eventually are FlyBE opening a NCL base, with crew locally based? :D

nclairportfan 30th Jan 2008 08:06

Strange for the BBC to have got hold of it without any press release from BE or the Airport.....although some press releases are sent to the press in advance with an embargo date and time on it. Anyway I assume something will appear on BE today.

That being the case can we expect any other new routes?

ncleflights 30th Jan 2008 08:33

nclairport fan - the BBC are normally very good at picking up news regarding ncl ops before a press release, I seem to remember the same happening with Emirates

On the subject of new routes if its a FLYBE based aircraft and I think its a big IF the other obvious route that springs to mind is ABZ as FLYBE made a statement in a December 07 press release that they were hopeful of operating a NCL - ABZ route in the coming months. As for others well if its a Dash 8-400 then quite a few routes spring to mind perhaps another daily rotation to CWL.

nclairportfan 30th Jan 2008 08:45

Press release now on BE website including LGW, ABZ and Rennes.

nclops 30th Jan 2008 08:46

Its now on the flybe website, LGW 3 x daily, ABZ 6 days a week and Rennes weekly for the summer.

It aslo states they are opening a new business lounge in NCL!

N707ZS 30th Jan 2008 08:58

And 100 new jobs, says BBC local news.

DL93 30th Jan 2008 09:04

Where are they going too find the space for a new flybe lounge?? maybe shrink the belfast lounge??

No talk of a base for flybe in NCL :(

N707ZS 30th Jan 2008 09:17

BBC said base with 100 jobs.

Jamesair 30th Jan 2008 10:29

Plus there will be further route development announcements for Newcastle during 2008

nclops 30th Jan 2008 10:40

Definately a based a/c. First LGW departs NCL at 0625, a/c then does ABZ at 1035 followed by LGW at 1320 and 1705 before arriving back at 2030 and nightstopping!

DL93 30th Jan 2008 11:12

good news for ncl then!

just need a few more this summer!!

rumour has it theres a 777 coming in too ncl at some point too cover the EK is there any truth in this??

chris1001 30th Jan 2008 11:57

Great news from Flybe. Not wanting to sound negative but Aberdeen will only truly succeed as a twice daily to capture business day travellers (morning/evening). I use the route with Eastern regularly and hope that this bring more sensible pricing from them rather than being screwed for £200-£300 for a 20 minute flight. Lets hope Flybe can see this and give us an evening return flight - if they charge realistic fares then this route could end up as a 4 x daily with Dash aircraft.

oldart 30th Jan 2008 13:10

Pleased my first post was about good news for Ncl, shame that MME is going the opposite way. The Dash 8 is the perfect a/c for short to medium hops in U/K, BE know what they are doing.

Here's the article from the Chronicle http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/north...2703-20412410/

BALLSOUT 30th Jan 2008 15:21

Remind me, how many times is it now that flybe/jersey have had a base at NCL?

All times are GMT. The time now is 14:16.
