T3 is the airline's code, in the same way that EI is the code for Aer Lingus and KL is for KLM. Most people will know what posters mean by T3.

I believe DB6 was trying to inject a bit of humour into a pretty gloomy thread. As a radar guy down South, the crews definitely don't sound as chipper as a few years ago. I'm retiring shortly, good luck to all you guys/gals at Eastern.

Tczulu
Thats because they are all FTL'd to the brink of dysfunction. |
Sorry about the T3 abbreviation. In future, I shall try to use 'Air Kilroe trading as Eastern Airways'.
It is pure laziness on my part… |
With so many Pilots leaving and a recruitment ban, how are they going to crew it? |

How will they crew it? With staff from Milan?

Ugh what an airline, it doesn't deserves the crews it has
|
You never know, Milan Embraer guys and gals might get the now-standard Eastern Airways Voluntary Change Opportunity. One can only imagine their excitement at the prospect of being retrained onto the J41.....

Might be better choice than the Flybe guys and gals are getting

I don't think that it is particularly fair to say that Eastern is OK, because other people are (potentially) losing their jobs and that everyone should be treated in the same manner as Eastern staff, in order to keep their job.
There really ought to be a situation where a company can be run profitably, without treating the staff like scum. If treating them like scum is the only way to make money, you haven't got much of a company, have you? |
Does anybody know the reason they that coat of arms painted onto one of their Jetstreams?

I think it is an adaption of the coat of arms of Burgundy (the region where Dijon is situated).
|
Yes it is an adaptation of the coat of arms of burgundy.

Was that picture taken by a very short person. Or was it a collapsed flight crew when seeing their wage slip whilst on a walk round.
|
The crew had just stood up, having said their evening prayers towards Humberside.

Eastern expansion in France
|
Hmm, apparently HOP! is axing its thrice daily flights on the route, otherwise it would not make sense.
|
It's a subsidised route, with the subsidy paid by the local authorities on the Lorient side. Eastern is putting a considerably smaller (and cheaper) aircraft on the route than HOP! had.
The route previously fed into the Air France/HOP! hub in Lyon and offered connections to quite a lot of other destinations. I don't know whether Eastern has any kind of interline agreement with Air France or whether it will effectively only be local traffic from now on. |
