Tbf, if the other delays were caused by said winds, EU261 wouldn’t apply. Sometimes an airline will prioritise a flight that is getting close to EU261 eligibility (remember it’s arrival not departure time that ultimately determines that) but generally, the controllers have a whole bigger picture to paint and so usually, in the main, some of the conspiracy theories are spurious. There will be several variables at play.

Ryanair have made some late changes to the LBA summer 2024 schedule with some cuts made in April but Increased capacity added from May to October.

The base was due to be 2x Boeing 737-800's & 1x Boeing 737-MAX,8-200. It now looks to be 2x Boeing 737-MAX8-200's from next Sunday March 31st with an additional Boeing 737-800 (back to 3 based aircraft) from.May 1st.

Peak summer 108x weekly flights, operating 26 routes is impressive for a small airport sat on top of a hill..

Talking to a mate who traveled through the airport over Easter - said the lack of knowledge/information of how to get to/from town by public transport was unbelievable and what he was told about buses etc was wrong

Had your mate not pre-planned?

Its actually really quite simple. Theres a choice of 3x Express buses, with a sign posted bus stop area, more or less opposite the terminal with timetable and next bus information. The airport website has the information and also, the area by the information desk used to have flyers for the "Flyer" bus services.

If you look up the 3 express buses from the page on the airport website, all three come up

"Sorry, we can't find this page!"

Just a broken link that needs updating to the one from the bus operator. You could however click the link directly above them and get straight to their website. Again, not difficult.

Apparently te information was wrong - my mate is a serious traveler and he was able to make and mend but he said the staff were useless

I'd guess a charter flight, but no idea... It continues on to EDI at 10:40 as BA8674.
