Never one to miss out on a spoiler! Lets hope there's room for both carriers, else the route could be lost from BHX network again.

Interesting as EZY have given back a load of slots at BER saying costs too high.

Ryanair

As well as Berlin it looks like Beauvais, Belfast, Nantes, Naples and Paphos are also being added, possibly a few more. Looks like they’re going to take on EasyJet head to head.

If so this may not end well.

Blimey, wasn't expecting this! Surely another based FR if all these routes are launched? From 0 to 2 airlines on BER, I hope this ends well as it's the one route I've been praying for since the demise of Flybe

I wonder if FR will still maintain BER frequency from EMA?

Interesting times ahead - glad that BHX is seeing sustained growth from FR and EZY but I hope it's sustainable.

From what’s been reported frequencies aren’t high so I should expect a route like Berlin should see better returns than the likes of Billund.

Belfast and Beauvais look to be x4 weekly, Berlin x2 weekly and Paphos x1 weekly.

We could also see Naples x2 weekly and Chania x1 weekly so I think it’s a case of watch this space.

EasyJet seemed to have dropped Nantes now so that one might not materialise.

Berlin looks to be 3 p/w from what I can see when looking to book a flight for my father-in-law

Certainly show 3 p/w on the Easyjet website.

I was looking at the based 320 operation and from the booking engine it appears BHX/CDG planned to operated on BHX based equipment in S24. AMS, MXP and PMI appear to be EJU operated, but not looked beyond those at the moment.

EZY

Berlin is definitely 3 x a week.

Nantes not bookable, Lyon only bookable until end of March.

A still healthy 27 destinations by EZY from BHX in S24, let's hope the base matures and sees additional based units and routes over the next few years.

Does anybody know when works are going to start on completing the additional stands at the end of the international pier? Even with the stands around the old Eurohub being remarked to allow B738/A21N, it probably won't be too far in the future when overnight parking becomes quite limited.

I know there were plans to build further stands to the North of the current 80s (between the 80s and the old 06/24) but the location of the brook that runs across the airfield would cause additional costs, guessing those plans have been iced for the time being?

On another note, nice to see another B747 due tomorrow.

attached is the current summer 2024 Easyjet timetable for the based A320 aircraft.

Do we know if the 3 based aircraft will be A320ceo's or A320neo's?

Thanks Matt, I know how much work goes into compiling these timetables!

Have you been able to compile diagrams for each BHX unit? I started them before the grandchildren arrived so its still a work in progress.

ATNotts, see attached, must say the turn around times at BHX for some of the aircraft are quite long, no 30 minute turn arounds!

Drat! Was going to have a crack myself tomorrow now the girls have been handed back to Mum and Dad.

Seriously, brilliant job! My initial draft showed some pretty impossible turnrounds, hence my question.

FR new routes still a work in progress on loading up to the website.

Berlin loaded 2pw from April 2nd, up to 3pw from 1st Aug

Paphos 1pw from April

Beauvais listed but no flights bookable

No sign of Chania or the also rumoured Belfast or Naples

None of the above bookable on the app yet.

The addition of the 4 confirmed new routes gives FR an impressive 46 destinations from BHX in summer 2024, which is a big increase in the number of destinations served pre-Covid and not far behind Jet2 with 52 destinations.

Would be interesting to know how many monthly seats both offer from BHX next summer, particularly on routes they both serve
