If you make a libellous statement, can you be sure that the owners of PPRuNe will not hand over your details to those who wish to prosecute you? I do not speak for them but it is not a risk I would take. Just discuss what is known about the topic and add a rumour - but don't be nasty to anyone. It really is that simple.

agree. As an observer it’s a political obsession for some and is boring (and uncomfortable) to watch.

A dispute over the rights to the name of an airport has been reignited. Businessman Chris Joseph previously requested that the Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) paid him £250,000 for the intellectual property rights to the name of Teesside Airport, which he bought in 2015. Conservative Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen refused and in 2019, Mr Joseph said he would withdraw an intellectual property suit for the good of his own health following online abuse, and the name change went ahead. But now, Labour Party member Mr Joseph said he would settle his claims for £45,000 towards his human rights organisation and an apology. He said he was offered £1 for the rights, but never signed anything, Mr Houchen, who was elected to a third term as Conservative Tees Valley Mayor last week, had previously accused Mr Joseph of “holding Teessiders to ransom”. In response to the £45,000 offer, Mr Houchen said: "For as long as I’m mayor, this Labour member, supported by a local Labour MP, will not get any money from our airport."
Mr Joseph, who posted a video online in the run-up to the election saying "bin Ben", has now delivered a letter saying he would settle his claims on payment of £45,000 towards his human rights organisation Right Against Might, and a letter of apology from Mr Houchen and the TVCA. But Mr Houchen said: "This is another attempt to hold our airport to ransom and stop us using its rightful name." Mr Joseph responded: "That’s never been the case. I was the one who proposed it in the first place, why on earth would I not want them to use the name? It is intellectual property."

On a more positive note, the movements site have FedEx operating a trial flight today and the first Eastern Jersey flight of the summer. Not such good news on the KLM again.

If Chris Joseph is so sure if his position, maybe he should just take TVCA to court…
Anyway if we take the mayor on his word, Tenerife and Malaga will be coming soon. Do we think these will be summer or winter routes? Ryanair seems the most logical but TUI might be looking to expand or could it be a new operator?

Teesside Airport
“WITHIN two to three years, the airport will be profitable,” he said. “We’ll be losing a few million pounds this year, but last year we were significantly ahead of target. We can absolutely say that by the end of the 10 year plan, which is in this term (of office), the airport will be sustainably profitable.”

There is a chance NCL will not sustain healthy margins with EZY going in, FR and TOM growing and LS being huge over the peak. That could lead to some retrenchment .
Wizz and TOM are lower probability options for us. Further down the list would be Easy or Jet2.
