Now It seems that the Spanish routes from BHX are being pulled from Sept 2nd. So that will be that. They won't be missed.

They won't be missed at BHX as they were barely there...good riddance, they have been nothing but bad news at BHX.

If the winter Spanish flights have gone it seems unlikely the Winter transatlantic routes will operate ?

Ah didn't see those. I looked at AGP and ALC and they appear to continue through Winter.

The AGP is an away based aircraft three times a week and ALC is twice a week (Thurs + Sunday) (3 at peak times) also they have REK from the 13th Jan 19 to 7th April ops out Sundays returns Thursday which would work for the ALC flights. Ops LPA on Friday and TFS on a Saturday.

Wow, just when you thought this shambles of an airline couldn't get any more ridiculous. Anyone want to put money on how likely any of these are to ever start??

Hopefully they’ll add Montreal from STN as well. I’m well aware of the French connection but there’s a lot of competition from Paris, from London not so much.

STN-TLV could be interesting as well given all the competition down the road.

Based upon their shambolic performance since they began operations from STN / BHX in April I would suggest they get their act together with what they are currently offering before embarking on any further oddball route adventures.

dont know what what you mean by that, the STN and CDG ops are running smoothly, as is the BHX shorthaul ops. It seems finally they’re over most of the rough patch

USERNAME - From BHX's perspective it has been a disater and looking ahead there will very little shorthaul flying from 2 Sept.
Do you think they will return to BHX in 2019 ?

No.

I will be surprised if there are any flights after October.

The only one remaining to book at present is a W pattern from Malaga and the Iceland positioning leg that is no longer required. Why is this flight still for sale or have they forgotten about it..

If a daily Manchester Malaga and a Malaga/Canaries start in October on a Malaga based aircraft I wonder where that will come from.

I imagine the aircraft based in Malaga (x2 we’ve been led to believe) will be coming from a Scandinavian base, since a lot of those ops close over winter, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a lot of aircraft coming to the U.K., CDG and AGP to fulfil the recently released winter schedule.

What is the betting by this time tomorrow you are right?

BHX - Malaga ends 28 Oct leaving just KEF.

I don't want Stansted to feel left out so here we go: -
STN-ALC: Cancelled after Sept 30th (5 a week from September)STN-AGP: Cancelled after Oct 29 (5 a week from September)STN-LPA: Reduced from 2x to 1x weekly STN-TFS: Still on sale at 2 x weekly

Since the Long Haul op hasn't had any changes (yet, touch wood), and the introduction of more flights from Paris (TLV/YUL), would it simply be the 737's returning to Scandinavia during a quiet winter season? Or even to AGP?

God forbid I hope not, a totally shambolic operation and a disaster for BHX

Why not park them up at BHX for the winter just like Ryanair do. Although that would seem like rubbing salt into the wound!

Yes, got delayed 5 hours RIX-GLA last year with Ryanair. Filled in the online form when I got home, received an acknowledgement 3 or 4 days later that the compensation would be in my account "within 10 working days" and 3 days later every penny was there. Very impressed. I don't know why so many companies seem to have problems with this process!
