JSCL - agreed on the potential for a fall.
If I was a betting man:
Prior to COVID I’d of put my money into Wizzair rather than Ryanair. Very sharp outfit with costs even lower than Ryanair and an incredibly disciplined model and a bold CEO.
Post COVID (more accurately - in the middle of it) I’d rather put my money into Ryanair rather than Wizzair. O’Leary is being his typical ‘under promise’ whilst privately preparing to ‘over deliver’ self.
I’m seriously concerned that Wizz is taking a very short term approach to this (and going against public opinion in terms of open borders right now) - are they prepared for the cash drain that operating in the current environment is going to inflict? How long will Inidgo Partners allow that? Not to mention the sheer insensitive nature of operating such a cavalier approach when safety should be top of their concerns.

What % of the Wizz operation involves UK compared to Ryanair? Also Spain, Italy. This is what I’d be looking at. My hunch is Ryanair is more exposed in the markets that look toughest/potentially slowest to get going. Remember Covid hasn’t been so devastating in a lot of Wizz’s core bases so could explain why so bullish. Although they still need places to fly to!

Wizz to operate flights to Abu Dhabi starting in June. Sounds like when Wizz gets their A321XLR they might do flights from UK to Abu Dhabi!!
Seems when they get their base set up, they'll do flights to the Indian subcontinent, Africa etc...

BOC Aviation is a leasing company with the backing of Bank of China (aka BOC), they have recently done similar for Cathay Pacific & Southwest so just another sell & lease back deal.
Notice the press release said "We are very pleased to be supporting Wizz Air once again" so this would imply this sort of arrangement has been done before so may not be any real news. Do Wizzair actually own any aircraft?

Todays Wizzair flight LTN to TFS was cancelled last night after the Spanish Authorities designated Gran Canaria as the sole airport in the Canaries allowed to accept international arrivals. Subsequently TFS complained, the authorities back tracked on their decision and will now allow TFS to accept international arrivals. Too late to reinstate the flight. P*ss up and Brewery spring to mind ......

Larnaca - 2 A320 will be based here, 10 new routes to Athens, Thessaloniki, Billund, Copenhagen, Dortmund, Memmingen, Karlsruhe/Baden Baden, Suceava, Turku, Wroclaw.
Milan Malpensa - 5 aircraft from July, 20 new routes to Luton, Eindhoven, Mahon, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Valencia, Fuerteventura, Lisbon, Porto, Reykjavik, Tel Aviv, Pristina, Tallinn, Athens, Thessaloniki, Santorini, Corfu, Rhodes, Zakinthos, Marrakesh. Press conference on Milan Airports FB page.

Wizzair seem to be moving significantly away from their "connect western Europe to eastern Europe" model towards something much nearer to what Ryanair do. Wizz is of course significantly smaller than either Easyjet or Ryanair and likely less well resourced than either of these 2 more dominant players. While salaries are low in eastern Europe, that's not the case in places like Milan or London. I know Norwegian are retrenching to the Nordic region, but is there room in the market for three major pan-Europe LCCs ?

A base in Milan MXP and expansion to into key Mediteranean holiday airports from Luton? I feel this is more a kick in the teeth to EasyJet while they talk about fleet reduction and optimising their route network.
That said, Ryanair will also be very wary. Wizz is by some margin their biggest competition, simply due to their also very low cost base. I expect to see some form of Ryanair expansion in Milan and London following this.
