Same as before! I'm sure the captain had double pants on getting it back to LGW, seriously captain a professional getting it back.

Surprised with Aqaba, although I suppose they’re trying to fill the Petra tourist market. They couldn’t get Amman to work a few years ago, which is a regional hub and has a far bigger market. Big fuel burn with potentially not a huge amount of yield.

It's only 1x per week on a Saturday, so different market to Amman. I would have thought there would be a subsidy for flying there - and possibly a commitment from a tour operator to help fill the aircraft.

I imagine it's highly likely the Jordanians have seen the number of tourists visiting Morocco and Israel and decided they want a piece of the action. Excluding APD, some days fares are about 40 pounds one way for a 5 hour flight - must be a big chunk of subsidy involved somewhere...
Ryanair and Norwegian are also starting flights to Aqaba from elsewhere in Europe on almost the same date as Easyjet which seems a bit of a coincidence
