Quite a drop from what they operated from LGW.

Also proof that Ryanair is not quite as successful as it would like to make people believe on high frequency business routes.

Ryanair operated x4 daily BFS-LGW during the summer, and x5 daily during the winter. Their BFS-STN operation is x3 for the summer, and the winter frequency is still unknown. Losing just one daily frequency isn't exactly a huge drop, especially given that they'll be competing with easyJet on the route.

It also makes more sense for Ryanair to operate the route from STN. They only fly to 4 destinations from LGW, and only commenced the route because the slots were made available as part of IAG's takeover deal of Aer Lingus. It was widely speculated at the time that Ryanair would eventually axe LGW in favour of STN once they re-established themselves in the NI market.

Nice additions, I still think they are missing a trick by not bettering Ryanair on TSF and CIA and fly to FCO and VCE.

None of which are actually new routes. Antalya and Larnaca have already operated this summer and will be continued through Winter '18. Nice starts in May 2018 and will operate year around as posted a couple of pages back. Good news nonetheless.

It's the classic Ryanair, flying to secondary airports, while Jet2 fly to the main airport. don't seen this often, since FR started using more primaries when targeting more business pax

planedrive...
Absolutely & aware...I nearly inserted all that originally as it was almost certainly going to be mentioned/picked up.
The way to interpret postings & statements is to read the words!..The keyword there was Winter.
Anyways at least a polite reply & yes it is good news...extra capacity & routes being flown thru Winter 18.

But CIA is actually v convenient for many (Italians) as it is virtually a city airport & it`s use is restricted by the authorities.
You view all the City landmarks well with the approach too )

Granted CIA vs FCO is fairly similar, but there's a definite difference between VCE and TSF, which was meant to be my point

Question for the locals.
Is Sat 2 exclusively Ryanair?
Also, the walkway to the domestic gates downstairs, has that always been there or was it an an addition?

Rolling 12 months now 25.8m.

SAT 2 is not exclusive and the domestic gates downstairs has always been there for as long as I can remember going way back to 1990’s hope that helps

This was announced in October don’t know why ‘Airline Routes’ is only Just releasing this on their website now. Stansted Airport Newsroom put it out on the 26th Oct and I think it was actually announced by the airline a week or so before that around the 12th Oct.
