W9 (Wizz UK) to operate STN-LJU twice a week from 30/10 for the winter (day 2 and 6), reducing their LTN service from 4pw to 2pw, so no London frequencies added just shifting them between the two airport.
Given it is twice a week and W9 (not W6) I would imagine a/c will be based at STN. Unless it will be W pattern from European base but then it would be W6 and not W9.

No official confirmation from W6 yet but LJU airport published it on their website (timetable section)

It's probably a mistake. Same flight numbers as the LTN flights and approximately the same times. Probably just put up in the wrong column.

Could be, by the timings are different
LTN-LJU-LTN 19:40-22:40 / 23:35-01:25 ---4--7
STN-LJU-STN 20:30-22:50 / 23:40-01:00 -2---6-

They should be releasing rest of their LTN schedule within the next couple of days, so lets wait and see.

Positive news from Cobalt...

Earlier reports were stating that STN was dropped from the beginning of the Winter schedules.

Perhaps the large Cypriot community in North London exerted some influence.

Certainly they influenced Cyprus Airways to an extent back in the day.

As alluded to earlier it appears Pobeda have suspended plans for thrice-weekly Kalingrad-STN this winter due to border control requirements.

So with BA (CFE) pulling out of BHX & BRS, will we see these frames redeployed to perhaps STN/MAN and some new routes launched? There is a definite gap in the market for both JMK & JTR from Stansted.

Manchester has significant uplift in capacity so I assume BHX frame is moved North. Hope for similar at STN.

JMK would definitely be a popular route out of STN, I’m surprised it hasn’t been launched already, Fingers crossed for some expansion from BA, anything would be welcome.

Generally v curious with CFE...another 4 frames to be added to the fleet for a total of 26 & they withdraw 2 UK airports from the flying which keeps the fleet utilised at w/ends.

With TCX reported to be cutting back on 3rd party flying it is encouraging to note STN retains 35 short haul departures pw during peak Summer 19...(same as this year.)

Summer 18 consisted 1x A320 1x A321 YL- base with additional mainfleet TCX a/c during peaks.

Does anyone know if the TCX1284 STN-TFS 16OCT is op by TCX themselves or subbed out. Also, does the aircraft fly a morning rotation before heading off to TFS at 1300 ?
