What if...... Norwegian reinstated the Gatwick shuttle (that BA should never have cancelled in the first place!).
I also think that student types (16-25 railcarders) will endure network rail from many parts of the country to access these fares. I know it's not the back that generates the profit (yields and all that) but this is a significant move in the UK - SE Asia market and will affect the UK market as a whole.

It may have a slight downward pressure on prices, but the markets targeted by SQ and one or two of the other one stop MAN-SIN options - but the markets are geographically and demographically so different that I don't see a large shift in the market.
Take your example of the young - it is more likely to stimulate new travel rather than take market share away.

Hainan tweeted yesterday confirmation that they will be using 789s on the MAN service from May, but linked to a Travel Trade Gazette article reporting it that didn’t mention which 787 model will be used. However it gave the seating as 36 business/177 economy which is the set up on their 788s. I wonder which will finally appear (or maybe a mixture?).

With the wording of an additional A330, does this mean there will be 2 A330 next summer? If it doesn't mean a 2nd, they Seem to make a big deal of the A330 like its a new thing despite it being here this summer too?
Jet2 will support the growth with an additional 327-seat Airbus A330

They need to increase the frequency of flights rather than adding aircraft, getting some late night flights in such as other airlines, MAN will not be able to cope with agreesive expansion from LS and other airlines for that matter due to MAN TP
Increasing frequency or adding aircraft is the same thing, do you mean more large aircraft and less frequency. There are very few night flights now by anyone just a lot that get back by 01.00ish

Hainan are making an 'important announcement' during tonight's Manchester derby match. UK manager of HU and Lord Mayor of Manchester involved.
Could be worth keeping an eye on the Hainan Twitter for the news, but, I'm betting it's the announcement of daily Beijing which is already on sale.

UIA set to rival Ryanair on Ukrainian market - Russian aviation news
Application for KBP-MAN (as well as 2 other routes) in for consideration tomorrow, so if they get permission, would hazard a guess that tickets will be on sale in next few weeks.
