I believe that's exactly the case.

Incidentally, the 1-11 was marketed generally as "The Bus Stop Jet".

As previous posts & just for the record EssexLive carrying the story that EZY recruiting cabin crews both for STN & SEN in the county...recruitment is therefore of course non SEN specific....

A 30 second search of their website reveals that they have vacancies at all their London airports for cabin crew. Natural churn comes to mind but who is to say how many new posts are being created.

SEN Observer.....are you sure absolutely of your two upper case words...is this your interpretation or can you quote the press release please..In the mean time I would assume LTNman is spot on...The only reason I posted #5163 is "for the record" as I said as some members were reading much into it regarding just SEN alone...Anyways.....Good Luck.

Southside - no, I can't identify the press release or wherever it was I saw it, it's too long ago. All I know is was that it was a reputable source so we'll just have to wait and see.

Oh dear. More delays today. One of the E195s went tech so the Cologne flight was cancelled, and the following flight to Lyon was delayed 5 hours. Then I heard one of the EZY machines has also gone tech, but all I could see was the the inbound Faro flight was 2hrs 15 mins late. I bet a few people pulling their hair out again.

It doesn't matter anyway.

The Cologne flights have been expunged from departures / arrivals. They never existed. Joseph Stalin used to do something similar. God only knows what happened to the passengers.

I wonder whether the level of cancellations at Southend are more than those elsewhere or whether they are just more noticeable- certainly a couple of Easy arrivals into LTN would be significantly late almost every evening.

With regards to CGN I guess pax were offered a full refund or alternative travel dates if their policy is similar to other carriers.

What about next summer? It seems as though two are needed but the schedule is quite thin. Rennes is still only on sale daily which is less frequency than the winter, but Groningen now appears daily beyond Easter and Half Term.

Unless they are planning some more short hop destinations? No idea where though.

At present one ATR is fully utilised doing Mancheste, Rennes, Manchester, Manchester. The second does nothing first thing, Caen on three days, Groningen in the afternoon and nothing in the evening. So there is space for a new double daily route, but like you say there aren't many obvious options and they have an existing option in Rennes that works.

It could be that they're seeing how the new routes go - giving flexibility for GLA for example to be downgraded to the ATR if sales aren't too good

Not an original thought - but remember Cologne is a short hop destination - 5 mins or so more than Groningen. Worth persevering with the spare ATR capacity possibly?

Here's a test for the airport: I note that the flight from Rennes is delayed - now expected at 2305. My understanding is that many of nos amis francais will be on that aircraft and presumably their destination is Londres. What support will the airport provide given as the last train will have departed and there is no appropriate coach service?

The flight was late because of an earlier technical problem in the morning. I think the last train leaves SEN at 2307. There are often many passengers arriving after 2300 but they would be aware of that and made alternative plans. For other examples like this Rennes flight I have no answers. It could deter some people from using the service again. In a perfect world, the airlines should arrange the last arrival at 2215, but I see no short term changes on this subject.

The current situation is that the airport taxi concession holder provides a service in that situation. This is explained on the SEN website.

In the case of the late RNS flight there should be sufficient pax to benefit from their £20 charge for a minimum of 5 people to London Liverpool Street. If fewer than 5 people need the service then the normal £100 cost is shared by those needing to travel. Not ideal but at least it means that nobody is stranded without any means of getting to London.
