In the last week EDI have gained DL JFK year round.

Yesterday Jet 2 completely abandoned their EDI-MJV service.

East Coast for business/inbound tourism, West Coast for buckets and spades.....

Vickers Viscount,

That article is way out of date. I'm not sure of the current statistic...Though I'd be interested to know how Little Red's remaining LHR EDI and ABZ routes are performing in the run up to it's final services this month...

Irrelevant.

Many Central Belt travellers regard EDI/GLA as one set of airports and have benefitted from the competition. EZY has a 'Central Scottish Airports' reservations button where you can depart from one and arrive at the other

the discussion had been about GLA and EDI hence west coast in inverted commas as I was well aware the GLA-MJV had been ditched, bit thats obviously lost on some
I understand PIK -MJV will follow in a similar vein...

He meant "Do you have anything useful to share beyond an open ended one liner?"

As in, something detailed and interesting? Keen to know, we love a gossip Are you suggesting it's getting moved to GLA or canned entirely?

From a baggage loading point of view (not sure about pax) the 319 arr/dep full with bags so I guess it's doing well.

Maybe just answer the question? If you do actually know something, share it. *IF*

Moving to GLA or getting dropped?

With GLA getting a thrice weekly Rouge flights next summer I wonder if our service is on borrowed time although the passenger numbers are there!!

Not sure I get that reasoning. Nobody suggested GLA-EWR was on borrowed time when DL added a fourth daily flight from EDI to NYC. In fact, we had shouts of "bloodbath" etc. But EDI-YYZ is performing fine. Following established logic wouldn't it be one of the two operators on GLA-YYZ that is more likely to be feeling the heat with all this competition?
