I see what you are saying and agree. I think its too late to re-purpose the OpenSkies brand for the LEVEL operation, although Im not sure too many people know it exists to be honest! OpenSkies has always been a bit of an experiment, was conceived in a time before IAG and the BA/AA/IB/AY joint business as a way for BA to utilise the then new US-EU Open Skies Agreement. After IAG and the JV it seemed a little superfluous.

OpenSkies does seem to have its own, French, AOC, IATA and ICAO codes (EC/BOS). Are these going to be reused for LEVEL, which currently uses IB infrastructure?

In the past two years BA Engineering in Europe has been decimated. (I lost my job). Nearly all stations have been sub contracted.
Sorry to hear that, the race to the bottom continues. Of course one can only look at what Lufthansa have accomplished with Lufthansa Technic and marvel.

Even going back to the 1970s, I can't remember a time when BA ever aggressively marketed third-party engineering services. A few airlines with fleet commonality (Saudia/Gulf Air TriStars) and a bit of work for the paint bay, and that was about it.

Now, sadly, the pendulum has well and truly swung in the opposite direction.

Oh dear the is going to be some tears before bed time, because it looks like British Airways are really cutting back on the Leeds/Bradford - London Heathrow slot sitting route next year.

It has been operated up to 20x weekly A319 (3x daily Sun-Fri and 2x Sat) for past few years. But the planned filing for summer 2018 schedule shows it operating at just 10x weekly (2x daily Mon,Thu,Fri & 1x daily Sat,Sun,Tue & Wed) still using the A319

HH6702 A number of 319's are departing, both from LHR and LGW, so 319's and 320's could be making a move.

I am not convinced the LBA changes have anything to do with the new Gatwick slots. BA can delay A319s leaving if aircraft are need for expansion. In addition new A320 are being delivered to LHR next year.

1 slot pair is been used used for a long haul flight. 2x others are been used for European sunshine routes.

The 3x afternoon BA1344/1345 services are using a collection of slots that have up to now been used on extra flights to Manchester (Monday), Amsterdam (Thursday) and Belfast City (Friday)

BA now cancelling flights due to 787 engine problems. DOH is gone for most of December/January and a few others have been rescheduled onto other aircraft.

NCL LHR

Apart from 4 per day on Saturdays, it’s still showing 6 per day Mon-Fri and 5 Sun so no frequency change I can see.
Where’s the Leeds thread gone? Have they trolled themselves out of this forum altogether?

Not a good day at (or rather not at!) LHR this afternoon/evening - recently seen shorthaul diversions to BOH, BRS, CWL, SOU and NCL. Some longhaul inbound div's aswell, but only a few that I've seen.

Noticed inbound DXB head back to France and at the moment JFK and BOS changing course over Wales. From reading twitter sounds like de-icing backlog and no parking? Only seems to be affecting BA.

Hardly any BA activity at LHR according to FR24. Reports of diversions everywhere, but lots of other carriers operating at LHR.

Why?
