Interested to hear why you think this might be the problem?

The filler LGW-GLA-SZG didnt last long! Almost as short as EDI-IBZ. Wonder if it was just to cover a ski contract last winter. Anyway its gone. Two tries from the regions, so dont see any more attempts for the forseeable in this climate.

No logical reason really. I suppose compared with other BA long haul flights there wasn't a sense of authority about the cabin service. But reference to age is based on a hunch, no more.

An expensive diversion, reported as being more than half way to NRT before turning back.

That's what I thought, bit of a capacity loss.

for domestics anyway they rarely ran full. Cargo capacity was better. Don't think there will be a huge capacity loss. Those that need it would get a frequency increase. Just like GLA capacity has increased via LCY.

I'd imagine the EDI flights are full on the morning flights during the week. Same could probably have been said for GLA if they were deployed in a similar fashion.

The mid-afternoon flight during the winter to GLA is likely primarily for cargo.

You are probably right re the capacity. Do you think there is any scope for the 788s to be used domestically? Seems like a waste of range but common in Japan.

Have you tried to get a seat on the daily 763 flight to LCA? For approximately 10 months of the year there are seldom more than a handful of seats available for sale.

Most often in 56J/193Y - to maintain that club load an A321 will offer 70 less economy seats - quite a loss of capacity!

Re the B767.
As far as I am aware the 7 short haul airframes are staying for a couple more years at least.

couldnt think of anything worse than BAs attempt at business class to ie LCA on a old shorthayl 767 in high summer... IST and ATH are just as bad.

Thumbs up Switched on cabin crew

Further to my LHR -YYC experience in previous post only fair to report on polar opposite on YVR - LHR last week.
Upper deck A380 in WT plus. Youngish crew again. Very switched on and professionally friendly.
Great service with a smile...

A380 LHR/JFK

Forgive me if this has been answered before but is there a reason why BA wont put the A380 on LHR/JFK.

Thanks
