BA at Bremen
According to Austrian Aviation, Sun-Air (of Scandinavia) will from September base two Donier 328 jets at Bremen Airport in Germany. These will operate for their BA franchise, including BA flight numbers.
What's not clear - because 'negotiations are still ongoing' according to the airport - is which routes will be opened. Which does seem a bit strange to me. Anyone caught wind of where they might be flying to?

Quite some time ago, Sun-Air applied for slots at MAN for a twice-daily Groningen service, which has not yet materialised. They are also (now) holding slots for a twice-daily LCY-Bremen service from September. I'd say there was a strong probability that the two aircraft base will be at Bremen with morning and evening services to MAN and LCY.

BA's French arm will add a 767-300 to its current fleet of 757's.

Another nail? Or just a sensible/inevitable move?

It cannot be worse than the rubbish they provide in CE. I flew up yesterday from Malaga it was awful, they called it "Afternoon Tea"

The Independent has learned that BA’s new boss may soon overturn that policy - offering short-haul economy passengers the chance to buy upscale sandwiches.

Agreed. If you'll excuse my attempt at business speak it might take a while to get all the involved parties (stakeholders) to agree on a "way forward".... (the Independent piece hints at least one little possible difficulty that AFAIK has yet to be discussed with those involved, let alone resolved).
'to start' suggests its a done deal. Im not sure it is.
I'm surprised that BA would abandon its unique selling point. It has often used this in campaigns a lot of short haul travellers appreciate the 'all inclusive' pricing so you know what the true cost is as,opposed,to the locos.

BA London to Denver always used to be with a 777 but this year its with a 747. Any particular reason why this should be?
Just operational reasons perhaps?

Indeed. I appreciate I’m talking about Long Haul rather than short, but returning from the Caribbean travelling WT+ last year I was served a stale croissant and a carton of Orange Juice. To borrow your words, it was referred to as ‘Breakfast’. If that’s all they’re prepared to serve in Premium Economy then they might just as well stop serving meals altogether.

I suspect it's more a case of being forced into it. If the terminals are selling food and the pax bringing it on board in preference - then you have to throw away the catered food. I might be wrong but I recall folks doing that on Lufthansa s/h 17 years ago.
