Indeed they do MAN FLEX 99. The problem is that outsourcing is sold on being able to do LESS 'mgmt' and that the outsourcer will do it all. the problem is that the reverse is true. You have to better and stronger 'mgmt' to handle the contract and keep the company up to scratch. That is not more mgmt but better. 
I saw outsourcing start in American companies in the late 1980s (I was working for one) and I didn't like it then. In the following 25 years I've neverhad cause to change to my mind.

Most airlines now outsource functions like cleaning, loading etc to the cheapest bidder...
Looks like BA will get a second sister airline soon.

I can confirm from my own personal experiences IB is lousy from a customers perspective, with exceedingly rude and ignorant staff, on board, but more specifically in the ground in Barajas. If BA was to merge with IB, it would be better that the IB brand is flushed down the toilet where it belongs (IMHO) and please take Air Nostrum with it (pity it's just a franchise).
As for the idiot Rajoy, I would hope the Spanish electorate have the sense to throw him out of office. Better not tell the him BA fly to GIB, daily (with extra flights at the weekend)

I was briefly watching bbc news this morning when they stated that 9.99% was an important figure (I guess as opposed to 10) but I had to leave the house before they could say why. Anyone know the reason? Also why would a new buyer cause a 3.5% drop in the share price?
Qatar Airways is controlled ultimately by Qatari Govt - the various layers of shell companies are little more than a legal nicety.
The Qatari state via the Qatari Investment Authority also holds a significant stake in Heathrow. We therefore have a conflict of interest potentially between airport and airlines for the Qatari Govt. This is compounded by the rivalry between IAG and Qatar Airways for Asia-bound traffic.
Be very clear that the QIA holds their stake in IAG for the benefit of Qatar - this is not an altruistic shareholding. QR having representation on IAG's board shows QR intend to influence IAG's future direction.
Will QR be content to be simply a oneworld partner with BA / IB or will IAG "explore opportunities around sending more Asia traffic via Doha" instead of opening new direct routes from Europe to China, potentially pushing premium passengers towards other airlines ? IAG seem to be in robust health - they are very different to Alitalia or Air Berlin who desperately needed a backer with deep pockets.
Conflicts of interest are usually bad news for a company's long term future - senior management may feel obliged to take a decision for political reasons rather than commercial reasons.
Willie Walsh may be all smiles about this in public, but this development will be of concern to fund managers.

There has been no change to the composition of IAG's board so at the moment QR are not represented.
The one big difference between this and Etihad buying stakes in European airlines is that Qatar bought the shares on the open market with no conditions attached. Etihad only acquired stakes in Alitalia etc after months or protracted negotiations with a whole host of conditions that allowed Etihad to call the shots.

It's enough for QR to get it's hands on the company accounts, is it not?
However, as previously suggested here, QR getting a seat on the IAG board would be another matter.
