PAR as in Paris, the whole of the city that includes CDG, ORY, LBG etc, just as LON is for London.....that includes LHR, LGW, LCY etc
On the Cobalt post it's been stated that CWL is one of their next destinations along with GLA, BRU which is likely to be for Summer 2017.
Be great for CWL as long gone are the scheduled Air 2000 flights to both LCA & PFO with now just TOM & MT only flying there.
Fingers crossed it materialises for them and gets announced with plenty of "selling" time.

CWL along with NCL & GLA have reappeared on the Cobalt booking engine, no flights loaded as of yet that I can see but imagine an announcement could be soon ?
When you go to book a flight all 3 destinations appear from LCA.
Great if that's the case !!! Loving travelling to Cyprus and beats having to go EZY from BRS

Cobalt
Sorry to bleat on about Cobalt but CWL now showing on their "destination" page as well as the booking engine (although still no flights listed)
Is there going to be announcement from both CWL and Cobalt soon ?? I imagine over next few days (hopefully, to maximise sales for the summer)
Great news for CWL again though to add Cobalt with Iberia Express and Blue Islands....

Nothing wrong with ambition but...
They need to concentrate on increasing their passengers numbers, airlines and destinationations first. Cwl has had a good year and hopefully has a great future but this has all come from a low base.

Cobalt
I've had an email from Cobalt confirming that they will start CWL-LCA and just waiting for the official announcement to be made....
Another new airline added to CWL's growing list

Any idea when CWL will confirm about Cobalt as it is only CWL that has not announced it yet !!
Good news like this they should be making it very public to maximise use of the route.
As for KM, shame they are not present for Summer 2017, they must have been one of the oldest airlines that served CWL continuously from the 732's up to A320's, hopefully TOM will pick up the route in their own right ?

People have been contacting cobalt from various forums and this is the first time they've advised anyone of a CWL operation. The routes are on the drop down but not on sale yet. Why not let the airline and Airports finalise what needs to be sorted then I'm sure an announcement will be made in due course.

You are so correct caaardiff in what you say. what with e mails and telephone calls to many airlines, they must think what sort of airport are we going to fly from.It makes life very hard for the airport when dealing with airlines.

Accusations being made by the Welsh Conservatives that WG/CWL has been buying flights as passenger numbers grow and so do losses.
2014/15 accounts: £2.583m loss
2015/16 accounts: £4.035m loss
2014 passenger numbers: 1m
2015 passenger numbers: 1.16m
2016 passenger numbers: 1.345 million

I shouldn't have to tell you to be sceptical about most of what politicians say. Cardiff Airport is going to lose money because they are contributing towards the lease costs of the Embraers. The money is recovered at the back end of the contract. What aircraft Flybe will be operating at that point and whether they could find a way to break the contract if it wasn't profitable for them is another issue.........
