Newcastle Airport likely to miss out on Chancellor's Budget fund cash - The Journal
a Treasury spokesman has since said that only airports with less than three million annual passengers – way below Newcastle’s current level of around 4.7m – would be eligible for the assistance under the fund.

Thomson
Hi
Is this new flight a Thomson flight number or is Thomson just buying seats on the jet2 flight??
There were plans this year for some extra flights however due to limited aircraft some of these were pulled.
It would be nice to see a 4th based aircraft at ncl shown thomsons support for our flights.
Maybe they are moving a 738 from lgw to ncl next summer and using DY more at lgw??
Should find out when flights go on sale end of April

Jet2 operating LPA on a saturday for the full 14/15 winter season (other than 3 weeks break in January), appears to be using a 733. This winter it has been operated on a monday from Feb onwards using a 757 and mostly via EMA.

Seeing as this could be the last time we ever see TCX 757's at NCL, that Ł45 flight to TFS in April is sure looking tempting... Sure I could find an equally cheap flight back.

I see the Livingston Verona flight is getting some publicity. Though is it right to call it a new flight, seeing as it's just a change of airline from Thomson? I also assume this is A320/321 operated?

Yes, but when you replace your old car what do you replace it with? A new one, even if it is not brand new. At least it's good news - more flights and therefore a positive development we should all be pleased with.
