Aesthetic Rant
First time in full colours for this aircraft, though in a traditional bmi anti uniformity stance, it lacks the URL on the rear fuselage. The reason for this is that the sky is sure to fall in of all of the fleet carries the same colours, all the more reason to merge with the like minded Virgin Atlantic.....

Fares
Is anyone in the know about bmi fares? All their fares seem to have increased over the past few days? Desperate attempt for more money and screw loyal customers?
The flights i was looking at have increased 7%

What flights were you looking at neversaynever? I recently booked my cheapest ever flight to Berlin £77 all in from LHR for the second week of Aug - I normally go FR from East Mids (cheapest I have managed with bag and card fee has been around the £85 mark) but this was way cheaper for the dates I wanted with better flight times.
For the same dates I have just looked them up and the cheapest fare on the bmi website is now £88. But for the flights I am actually travelling on (1730 out of LHR 10/8, 1100 back from TXL 14/8) it would now cost me £238 if I booked today
Which just goes to show if you see a good fare and you know you want to or need to go somewhere book it when you see it!! And as Inkjet says, if you don't like the price, go elsewhere! Had FR been cheaper no doubt I would have booked with them as normal. Its a free market and airlines price (amongst other things) according to supply and demand.
Like the stockbrokers say, fares can go up as well as down.............

G-WWBD just off of C Check prior to paint. The inside is the same livery and product as it went in with but has been refurbished so carpets replaced, etc. New product planned for next year, I think.

^^^ Sonic, it's been a while since I've been in either 'BD or 'BM. I know they'll have a different number of seats in C/Y, but will they have the same cream/brown leather pods in C until the rumoured new C product is confirmed? My understanding was the two a/c would continue to have different C cabins (fabric cradle seats in one, lie-flat pods in the other)...
Thanks...
Thanks...

G-BM will be configured 36/196.
The business will have the same seats which were used in the business cabin on the Mumbai. Not flat beds but in my opinion they are more comfy than the flat beds.
Lets hope BMI stays independent otherwise I'm on the dole queue.

Fares can go up uniformly if YQ / Fuel Surcharge goes up (normally happens on the same dates for all routes) or if the exchange rate (for the currencies which some of these underlying charges are based on) changes significantly.

G-WWBB was painted in Sri Lankan colours at Manchester last year and flown to Toulouse for delivery to Sri Lankan. G-WWBM was busy in Istanbul until April doing work for Turkish (it's now back and on it's C8 check prior to starting ALA/FRU and FNA). G-WWBD as stated is back from check and gracing the skies of KSA once again.
