EMA will still be needing FR a/c 7 because in the Spring the likes of Nimes, Bergerac, Alghero etc will be back and need a/c to operate them, as Prague, Faro and Fuerteventura will continue to operate and then theres the Paris BVA but thats in the place of Cork.

I agree, I really do hope WW restart Cork. BD would be great on the likes of Copenhagen as there are people who will use the route just not enough for a 737, so just like the Cologne an ERJ145 will suit it better. Cologne is enjoying good loads, so would Copenhagen if BD were to take it over. There was also rumours of Aberdeen and Zurich with BD, any news?

Yes Slim Im Well Aware Its A SNN Based Aircraft That Operates the Route But As I Said Its PAX Numbers That Will Be Going Down.

And My Other Point Being We Are Down Basically to Only 4 Based Aircraft This Winter Stand To Be Corrected On That One.The Other Two Are Being Parked Up For The Winter. So My Point Being If RYR Pull Any More Routes We Will Be Lucky If We Have 5 Let Alone 6 Based Aircraft Next Summer and I Gather The Agreement With The Airport to Park up the 2 Aircraft for the winter they Would Then Put a 7th Aircraft into EMA.

EMA SNN is operated by a SNN based aircraft.
This makes it a worse case for EMA.
If the aircraft was EMA based then SNN might be cancelled but the aircraft would be used on another EMA route so passenger numbers wouldn't be affected.

Since the aircraft is SNN, EMA loses all the passengers.
The aircraft is being instead used on SNN routes to NCL, HHN and EDI - these airports gain EMA's lost pax. SNN sees no change in passenger numbers...

Yes Agree Regional Could Operate EMA-ORK EMA-CPH And One Other Route Maybe Zurich? Then That Would Mean Them Putting a 2nd Aircraft into EMA Fingers Crossed Someone Wether WW Or BD Go Onto the Cork Route. This Finishers at the End Of October So Things Need to Be Happening Soon if This is to Happen. Loads on the Irish Flights Are Always Good Over The Christmas Period. And With The SNN Going They Should be Able to Get Reasonable Loads. But As Always It Depends On the Price And WW Are Not Going to Do Fares £1 Each Way Like RYR.

RYR Summer Sched if All the Summer Routes Come Back and The Likes of AGP/ALC/FAO And Maybe a PMI Added All Go Daily We Should See 7 Based Aircraft At EMA Next Year.

Ryanair

NJTCF

The last time I looked at the FR schedule for November it was pretty
decent re East Mids, I will have another look later if I get time to see
if anything has changed.

Just looked at the CAA stats and the Shannon, Copenhagen, Oslo
and Stockholm carried 10818 combined in November and 11566 in
December. So yes quite a loss but FR will have 6 based and if
they are all flying this will compensate for some of the losses.

However on the downside, no Excel and BMI baby mid morning/early
afternoon flights on some days are few and far between in November.

The axing of the EMA-SNN has at least probably extended the life of the BHX route, as it is approaching one year and other than August it has hardly delivered mountains of the pax (that's without considering yield).

As far as I am aware there will be no reduction in the based aircraft this winter. Any "parking" may be the base trainer.

checked the ryanair timetable the six aircraft based will be required all winter so there should be no aircraft standing, i also think with the extra flight (sat)to tenerife and the new routes paris,faro,fuerteventura,prague and a daily service to malaga will see a increase on last winter despite the loss of cork,shannon,madrid and the suspension of valencia,budapest and krakow flights until 19th of december. i flew to shannon last january there where 70 on the outbound and 46 on the return i know its the time of year but the payload was bad cheers paul

So where did the Ryan Air Cabin Crew ground trainer go? It was the old 737-200 that was winched into its "tented" home about a year or so ago..... It was removed and loaded on a low loader and departed a couple of days ago before the building was put back together.

Baby Not Having Another Baby at EMA.

Just Heard Baby Will Not Be Taking Delivery of G-TOYL. This has been sitting at SNN for quite a while. I Gather paperwork is the problem to do with the service History. so Baby have decided they Are Not Now Interested in the Aircraft.

Could someone confirm if baby are Leasing Out 2 Aircraft this Winter?

With there Current Fleet with Now TOYL Not Comming Will they have Enough Aircraft to Cover the Winter and Next Summers Schedule. Or Will They Need New Aircraft As Some or All of the 500s Are Going.

Thanks NJTCF.

Sorry the Above is Not Much News But After Seeing No News/Rumour On the EMA Page For Over 2 Weeks Thought We Needed Something

Baby 737 500s

I am lead to believe that the 500s are not going as first thought and the leases have been extended for a further two and a half years.

There is a bit on the 'flyglobal' website that Thompson have confirmed that they are to cease operations at Coventry. Was that expected?

Thomsonfly

HZ123

The only surprise was the date.

The fact that the 733's and FCA 320's are to leave the fleet really
didn't leave much option with the 757 too big pax wise and the
performance issues with the 738.

This left only the 73W's based in Germany with TUI, which would
have been ideal but I doubt that was ever on the table.

Did you mean to pose the question on the East Mids thread?

Summer 2009 had been released and I don't know whether this
will mean extra capacity at bhx or ema I don't know but the
credit crunch has probably sorted that question.

EMA 5,000,000 Pax RYR.

Reported In the Derby Evening Telegraph Tonight RYR Carried its Five Millionth Pax From EMA On Monday Not Bad Going There. I Hate to Think what the Pax Figures Would Have Been Like if RYR Had Never Come To EMA. Hopefully With There 7th Based Aircraft Due Next Year Figures Can Only Keep Going Up.

Overall its looking like

WW = 4x B733, 1x B735
EZY = 3x A319
FR = 7x B738
T3 = 1x J41
BD = 1x E145
TOM = 2x B738, 1x B752, 1x B763 (Tue, Wed, Thu)
TCX = 2x A320

expect a quieter summer...

I dont no whether its right but I checked on a random date on a sunday at the end of May. and there was early morning departures to, Belfast City, Rome, Girona, Dublin, Bergerac, Paris Beauvais, Prague and Carcassonne, this makes 8 aircraft, so are there 8 aircraft at weekends or something, if the Bergerac flight isnt actually there, the flight after that is Wroclaw at 11.20, which is the 8th aircraft and there is 8 aircraft arrivals in the evening from Budapest, Dublin, Malaga, Alghero, Murica, Berlin, Bratislava and Granada
