Though at this moment in time GSM don't have an a/c that they could use to operate CWL-YHM becuase theres only 1 752 that operates the route and the schedule released will for S09 fully utilises that a/c though there are rumors that GSM is maybe buying up an airline or the more believable fact that they will by up up some of whats left of ZOOM's fleet mainly there 752's!

I love the way that everyone else on the PPrune boards are keeping their heads down and hoping they still have a job in aviation once the aftermath of the Credit Crunch / recession is over.....However, CWL are going to be expanding during all this it would seem!

No Murcia flights this winter

Don't think this has been mentioned previously - though that WW have cut flights should not be a surprise.

Unhappy customer...

I agree with OliWW. It would be a sure sign of other airlines going to the wall like Zoom, if they were to have an increased winter timetable. Better to reduce the number of flights in order to make sure that the airlines can weather the storm on fuel price. I'm sure no-one wants to see any more airlines going bankrupt?

Mjv & Waw

jetstream7

Sorry re MJV, I mentioned it on the baby thread but I did not copy it
across. I think Warsaw is cut as well but not sure about that one.

Globespan

Is that not like saying that the good news is we are not going to throw you to the Lions (Zoom) but the bad news we are going to hang you instead (Globespan)!

I suppose in these times anything is better than nothing and yes
congrats to CWL for such a speedy replacement.

Good news with the announcement of a new route with Lisbon from CWL....but usual story with them...other routes stopped for a new one!
Unless,of course, tranche 2 for S09 brings better news.....NCE and/or VCE please! otherwise yet again I will have to book my flight there with BRS (Easyjet) yet again!!!!!!

Really good news about CWL management bagging Flyglobespan so quickly. A bit of a shame that it doesn't start until June and finishes in Sept, however it is better than nothing.

As for WW flights to Lisbon, I think it will do well as it is a beautiful city. It will be interesting to see what other destinations they'll be announcing in the second tranche. Good though that there will be another link with an European capital city. Lets hope they annouce other capitals and major cities

Flyglobespan

What's the chances of Flygolbespan also adding Sanford from CWL?
