I managed to get a copy of the Master Movements of FIDS.

FR to STN is on it.

First Based E195 flight is the 963 LGW on Sun 28/10

LCY operating A/C is to be a DH8 from 28/10. Whether they got the 3 and the H mixed up, I don't know.

Flights Ending September are: Verona, Jersey, Rennes, Newquay.

Salzburg flights to start at the end of November (E195)

Hope that helps a few questions

They got the 3 and the H mixed up, all right - trust me. LCY aircraft type is unchanged for winter.

Belfast City has a red square on the route map, indicating a base - perhaps more than just BHDSTN being announced today?

Let's hope so!

Nothing yet officially announced, but it seems BHD-STN will be 4x daily (perhaps less at the weekend) and BHD-LPL will be increased to 2x daily.

I don't think any other routes will be announced today.

The timetables have now been loaded onto the Ryanair website. STN will be 4 daily while LPL will increase to 2 daily. The timetables for LPL are a bit ridiculous though. The 2 flights depart from Belfast within 20 minutes of each other.

It will be interesting to see how many of the Stn 21.25`s make it back on time. That looks like a gauranteed extension every night and with everyone having already worked more than a "reasonable amount" of overtime there will be plenty of spilt milk when they end up at AA. Getting 12 night stoppers out of an Airport with 10 stands and one taxiway on time each morning is always gonna get the day off to a good start.

The mighty red arrows...

Bit of a random question and possibly not the correct forum for it but here goes anyway.
I see the Red Arrows are due at the Portrush Airshow on Saturday (8th Sept). Any of you chaps know if they're likely to fly over the BBC proms event in Carrickfergus that evening as well? I seem to remember them doing a flyover of the proms in previous years but wasn't sure if it was a once off or what. Would certainly make my night!

Cheers,
Stu

At least the longer runway issue seems, according to the CX, to be a fiat accomplis. On the BBC tonight he is saying that the extension will be completed within 12 months, 6 months planning 6 months build. It is this sort of 'can do' attitude that has made the city the progressive, dynamic leading regional airport it is today.
Ulster may well have said No in the past, Ulster may have said No to high fares today, according to MOH, but will the good burgers of Kinnegar, Cultra, Helens Bay, Holywood, North Parade, South Parade, Lower Ormeau, Stranmillis and all of East Belfast say Yes to the longer runway? Let me think about that one.

Airline boss's overnight invite
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/6982165.stm
A Holywood woman has said Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary should spend a night at her house. Nicola Marks was speaking after it was announced that George Best Belfast City Airport wants to extend its runway.

737-800 - "This is the quietest, most fuel efficient aircraft flying in Europe today"

Is that because MOL says so!

Was looking at the new RYR flights there, it seems there is some sort of error, as one of the LPL flights is shown in their booking engine with the same flight number as the 2nd STN of the day (FR6123)...

I wonder why...any ideas?

Well I am for one happy at the announcement FR are making BHD a base. Though I will at present wait to see how things go and if its truely permanent and BHD get the runway extension. If they do I'll be transferring and then my old friends at BHD they would be loading my bags one day!! HAHAHAHAHA

Hearing through the grapevine that BRS and either SNN or LTN will be the next routes from BHD to be announced soon. Also EMA will go to 2x daily and LPL to 3x daily.
