Yh I do agree, I was on EI-DHO 2 weeks ago, and now they have all those advertisements on them, yeah, too be honist its not the best with them, makes u feel like your on a bus...

Regarding Ryanair, Im looking at the timetable at the moment and in February they have the 6.30 Girona, 6.30 Rome, 06.35 Dublin and 7:15 Carcassonne on a Friday, and yet there are 5 aircraft being based there this winter, which makes the 5th aircraft not depart till 11.20, whats going on, are they keeping an aircraft sitting around that long??

whats the 11:20? sounds abit odd, Ryanair often change the timetable later on.... and on a wed/sun we have the TFS that departs at 07:30.

Thats only what I saw, that on the friday there wasnt an early morning departure for the aircraft that later goes on to do the Wroclaw flight, which means aircraft number 5 departs at 11:20, unless they are planning to release a quick, new, cheap route before then

you never know?

Well... I have recentally been helping out at EMA with Servisair and Thomsonfly, I am friends with the manager of Servisair and the manager of Thomsonfly so get quite a lot of my information from them.

Hopefully soon becoming a deputy manager for one of these two soon

I didnt realise Servisair or Thomsonfly were after a duty manager, you have high hopes for your self if you think you can just walk in to these jobs seeing you were only there for two or more weeks on school placement werent you?

OliWW,

Why would you want to be a Deputy Manager for Servisair or TOM when you state that you are training to be a pilot for TOM?

No, the UKIA Didn't get airborne this morning however engineers were working on it again. Did see lots of folks outside the office on my way home though.

For those interested Onur Air is sending an A310 from DLM later this eve (1920 i believe) Not sure if this will be regular like the A300 BJV on monday evenings. Makes a change to see something different on the EMA ramp though.

Any news about based a/c or routes for the winter from the likes of TOM TCX FCA MYT with all the mergers going on??

"they have all those advertisements on them" (EI-DHO) - which help to keep tickets as low as possible, I was on this a/c today to be honest I don't think many people really care if it looks like a bus if you get a cheap seat, like all them Polish people visiting family back in Lodz and the second home owners in Limoges. Personally i'd like to see more a/c painted up with company logos, even though it does confuse pax "im not flying cable and wireless, im going with Ryanair"

On the positive side, the TFS seats have been selling really well, with the first month expecting loads I can see it will be one of our most popular routes.

Did anyone find them figures for the EMA-CIA for Ryanair and eazyJet? Be interesting to see how the bookings are going for Belfast for both Baby and Ryanair

The names Lee, yeh them second home owners keep me in a job (that and most of them don't need telling to what to do, ie sealbelts, bags in over head lockers in exit rows....). I have no idea how the bookings are going for Belfast, bout I expect Ryanair to be taking away a fair number of pax from Baby, maybe not the businessmen just yet.
If UkIA was to start operations next months, what stand would it use? This morning again the ramp was rammed full again......

The UKIA when out at about 21:30-22:00 this evening. I happened to be at the airport and saw it leave, along with the Onur A310. Hope the UKIA does some daylight training so I can get a few pics of it.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hi all,

the Onur Air was an A300-600, the UKIA did some high power engine runs and then nipped off to LPL for a quickie, and for the love of god, please dumdum, give over on the snide remarks about taking Baby's business. We do understand the importance of cost, also the loyal fanbase that Baby have (which you keep reminding us of everytime you get shot down). Its already been mentioned that this thread has become a kind of "RYR V's WW" battle, so lets move away from this reiteration - both airlines seem to be operating quite happily (at times) alongside each other.

Back to the 'rumour' stuff... the whole TCX-MYT and FCA-TOM. Rumour has it we at ema are destined to have a based B787 from autumn next year (unless of course Boeing start up similar teething problems as with the A380). Does anyone have any more on the sort of aircraft we could be getting? Surely if, and I'm sure they do, TCX and MYT / FCA and TOM operate to the same destinations at times then a larger aircraft would be necessary? Could we be threatened with a few wide-bodies? And as for the B787... I don't even think that would fit on the central apron as things stand (please correct me if I'm wrong).

Regards,

Nimrod
