Well i've just heard from a very reliable source (a manager in my office) that there is NO announcment and that its all just rumours that have been blown out of all proportion!!!!

Lesson 1 of the airline management induction day - announce that an announcement is going to be made then announce that the announcement that was going to be made has been delayed pending a further annoncement. Easy

easyjet never say there is going to be a big story ahead of time. It gives the competion a head start on working out a counter response. Never had any leaks of any interest in 7 years with the company! Could be the one thing that they are good at.

ezy shares starting to slip. More data coming out on the economics of its business. The city is upbeat on the route reduction over the winter but noises are being heard about forward bookings and stronger competition. The city dislikes uncertainty and suspension of company announcements does nothing to quell fears. Next ezy statement at 2pm.

it is a good thing that city analysts dont believe all that and are not expecting any announcement, as ezy share price change is no different to any other airline today...
