Makes you wonder if any 'announcement' has anything to do with the departure of Flybe's DFO to a new 'secret' job at EZY, something which was announced months ago. Rumours (yet to be confirmed) are that another high level Flybe board member is also departing to pastures orange.

Laughing knife Cor V. wants bigger, fewer bases, prefers that the pilot community nightstop more and can't wait to close the smaller bases. EMA seems to have dodged the bullet this time according to galley FM.
EZY probably would have liked for the oil price to stay up there for a while, it would have knocked out a competitor or two and it would have given them the chance to force the introduction of random rostering upon us, close even more smaller bases, scrap the pay-deal, etc.
They probably want to move a couple more airframes to the € side of the channel, with the pound at its current low.
Soooo, LGW and FlyBe bought and rebranded as EZY regional? Hmmmmm. Would take an awful big bag of money. Perhaps they want to pull out of LTN and STN and concentrate the traffic in LGW but a buy out?

That is good news. I don't suppose anyone has any idea on the likely wait for a transfer to NCL from LGW, assuming I got my name on the list upon joining in October?

Might seem like stupid speeds to you but if they keep us in the black and in a position to even be able to talk (rumour wise) about buying other airlines/airports etc they don't seem that stupid to me!!!
Irritatingly slow but economically viable! Maybe that could be the new company tag line!!!
