Youre right Captain H, loosing £3.5m out of your income is a big hit. Anyone confirm if those passenger numbers on LPL are right?

There certainly was a lot of background 'noise' on this topic at the Airport yesterday.

.

Yes a staff meeting was due to take place today at 14:00 - but an email was received telling staff who do have emails that meeting will be postponed until further notice so that a certain ceo can clarify the rumours that are going around IOM.
However i would have thought that this ceo would have been the only person to clarify what was true and what wasnt!

Something really needs to be done or said quick. I have never worked in a place where morale is so low. . Everyone is naturally worried, like anyone would be, we just want answers - thats all we ask. Just some clue if we have a job at the end of the month, if we will have money to put food on the table! Sorry to sound like a moaning mona but just needed to get it of my femine chest! - [ im writing this and dont think its making sense - too much wine last night!]

All i can say is if it is the end, then i shall be leaving the industry - ive done my time working all over the uk [ & world] for many airlines, and EMX had that little family thing going on - everyone knew everyone - and one thing i carnt stand is being a number, i mean i am Mona!

Anyway hope all is well...and to all my collegues who read this...well lets just make the most of the time left!

Mona signing off and gone to get an asprin!

Ha! truely.

Yes if it is true we will be dissapearing very soon, dont know what the rumour mongers will get upto - they wont have anything to gossip about.

you yessa's have got to admit though without EMX, skeet n scandal at IOM would have been boring! And prob will be very soon.

Surely the best way of 'clarifying' the situation would be to stand up in front of your staff and tell them what the heck is going on. Cancelling a meeting at such short notice can only compound the uncertainty.

EMX situation

G-Mona

I really do feel for you at this time and I think everyone should be supporting the guys at EMX who have worked there since the beginning. What really gets me is the so called mgt who have come in to that airline, sucked all the money out of it for themselves and are now the ones who know what is going on and wont tell the actual workers whether they have a wage this month. EMX was a great little airline with a good work ethic and staff who truly believed in their product and now the executive team have basically ran it into the ground. Merger - I dont think so!

The 'recent' senior mgt or 'executives' should be ashamed of themselves and I sincerely hope that they find getting another job/easy number so difficult. I know some of those on the so called executive team and I dont think that they will be welcome at several companies on the IOM or many pubs!!! Can you all seriously sleep at night knowing that you have put honest hard working dedicated staff out of work just so you can earn such ridiculous salaries and bonuses!

I wish all the true EMX staff the best of luck and always remember - WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND, maybe not today or this year BUT ONE DAY.

Super Ally,
Thank you - its good to know people are crossing fingers for us workers. I have not been here since the early days unlike some of my true loyal collegues of mine - but it is good to know people are wishing us all well whatever the outcome.

Fingers crossed for all you EuroManx guys and girls from a regular slf. I can't bear the thought of having to fly with FlyMayBe.

You deserve better than the way you appear to be being treated by management.

Good Luck to you ALL

Good luck to everybody at euromanx you have been a splendid team and when the news breaks at least you all can hold your heads high unlike the management team who have sold you out.

Theres not a person travelling who hasnt said what a joy its been to travel with such friendly crew and I just hope that when it happens that you are all financially looked after for your hard work and effort.

The one thing I would comment on is the way that you have all looked after the patient transfers on LPL with dignity and respect over the past five years is an absolute credit to you and you will be misssed if the stories on this thread are true.

Good luck Mona and there is another world outside EMX where people actually get rewarded for their hard work.

Euromanx

Sorry but I may have missed something, but is it confirmed that Euromanx is being taken over by Flybe? I havent read anything factual, or definite yet the language and content in this thread is like a funeral all sad !!!

In addition, lets say that this does happen where does it leave Aer Arann and there operations on Liverpool/IOM?

The recent forums suggest that Flybe will be gettting involved in Eastern, Euromanx and will Aer Arann be in its sights soon?

How Flybe has evolved in these last few years, they have really gotten big in the world of aviation!!!

How and why is Seymour still in his position. He's managed to run the airline into the ground and seems to be doing a fantastic job in dropping staff moral through the floor.

Mr Seymour, just take the advice of your staff and go, you've managed to run the airline nearly bust exactly like Warren, which Seymour wants a go next? No qualifications or experience necessary

I wonder what the next blog will be for the inflight mag...? "We're practically bust but we STILL don't charge for baggage!, OH, and we're on-time" . Talk about groundhog day.

EI-BUD, just because a lot of people play chinese whispers it doesn't make the subject matter any more factual.

It is all very well believeing rumours but it is doing nobody any good. 99% of all this can be traced to one or two places that would have no idea about the future of Euromanx. most of it is a pile of . As for a development tomorrow read maintenance NOT closure

I must clarify a comment left earlier re Flybe involved with Eastern!

Riki Lake would never get involved with Fbe, ever. It's not his style, in fact he'd sell before merging with them. They have plans with KLM.

Euromanx have had ups and downs, but don't most airlines?

Fingers crossed for all the staff.
