easybeat you missed the point. Same question - when you say sales are up do you mean seats sold or ££s in the till. Any fool can sell a million seats from Ronaldsway at £1 a seat, you just get bust quicker

Same Question
There is the question:
As usual IOM Spotter just have a go at EuroManx looking at your previous posts !!!
The question is the same for Mike Rutter at Flybe shouting about his figures being up
The question is the same for Noel Hayes at Manx 2 shouting about his figures being up
This is not just a EuroManx issue as you should know at this time of the year everybodys bookings are up and revenue in the bank.
Its a pity you and some others on this thread dont put the same energy into slagging Flybe Manx 2 Eastern and the other operators on this island off. (sorry some of you work for them !!!) well I dont and I wish EuroManx do survive as we need competition here

Well Fred
Having read your previous posts putting down EuroManx why would I. Who are you going to talk about if EuroManx wasnt here !!!
People on this thread just dont get it BACONNECT and MANX Airlines sold you all out it was nothing to do with EuroManx so dont keep having a go.
For your info I am one of many people that EuroManx helped with flights when I needed it and thats more than can be said of either FLYBE or BAConnect.

Seeing San Expirys 328 posting below, does anyone know if Euromanx are still planning to replace the Dashes with 30 seaters? Have they actually been sold now?
the mysterious Quest Aviation that arose from the MBO of Club 328, JETS, Euromanx and 328SSG. Mr Seymour's legacy doesn't seem to be doing too well; Club 328 'restructuring' (that well-worn management-speak euphamism) and it would appear Euromanx is stagnating quietly on the Isle of Man with many of the local pundits writing it off altogether, so just who is Quest Aviation. The Club 328 Dornier Jet and Euromanx's Dashes all appeared on the same 'for sale' fax that was flashed around the world a few months ago.

digging around the net for half an hour, howzabout some of you intelligent fellas fill in the misssing bits of this puzzle.
Seems amongst the new owners of Euromanx/Quest is the owner of Jet Engineering Technical Support who used to own Club 328?? Club 328 was sold but JETS said they'd keep doing the maintenance on the 328 fleet down in SOU. Planechartering seems to be now getting rid of the 328 fleet it bought as an immediate financial restructuring see the 328 postings. Meanwhile CityStar of Dundee fame was also a JETS maintenance customer.
So is JETS and its management still tied in with Euromanx or Club 328/Planechartering and Do328 maintenance or are the links dead? JETs website isnt much help Does this mean Euromanx wont now be going to 328s

DJs details below from the JETS website. Doesnt mention the Euromanx (sorry -Quest Aviation) tie up but they tell me he s the man
Dave Jackson (CEO) is Chief Executive Officer for JETS Ltd and has a wealth of aviation and general management experience, having worked in Customer Support and MRO roles with Field Aircraft Plc, Lucas (now Goodrich), Avilla and the Anglo Normandy/Aurigny Group. Most recently he was at Exide Technologies heading up their full European Automotive Operations. He has customer experience with major OEMs such as Rolls Royce and Airbus through to major airlines such as Air France and American Airlines.

piecing together a couple of pms it seems Dave J had to sort out a messy highly geared group structure that was corporate Jet Services. Hes sold Hermannus (flight support) which is now doing well on its own, Sold Club 328 to Plane chartering who found it was a mess and promptly closed it , is slimming down JETS as its lost customers for the 328 maintenance work and last but not least has to solve the Quest (euromanx) issue where the plan was to buy time by selling the planes to payoff some of the loans.
Any updat on the plane disposals Their agent was offering the aircraft as available from the first of april which is now just next month

Through my letterbox today, courtesy of the postman, comes "Airtime" Issue one, a glossy 4 page brochure extolling the virtues of Euromanx, complete with a picture of one of the Dash8s. Not the sort of thing you spend money on if your world is about to end, methinks.
After all the rumour we've almost reached 31 March with no anouncement as to change. Perhaps there won't be one, and business continues as usual, albeit at reduced margins given the present low fare battle with the competition.
Incidently the aforementioned glossy has a table contrasting EMX's value for money against the un-named competition.
One point advises that their main competitor charges £5 for passengers wishing to sit next to each other. In fact it should be £10 as both pax have to pay.
Another point advises that their main competitor charges pax extra for not using their automated check-in. Now I know that Jim French reckons pax should pay for the privilage of being dealt with by a human, but I wasn't aware that BE had actually implemented that particular money grabbing wheeze.

i do believe euromanx should do their homework and get their facts correct, before getting egg on their face !!!
BE do not charge for airport check-In
They do charge for pre-allocated seating at time of booking, but no charge is made at check-In to sit together- like most other carriers its subject to when you check-in and how full the a/c is !!
all they had to do was go on the website to find out the facts !! change your marketing dept.... do they do the on time performance figures too???

"Flybe has announced it may charge passengers in the future for using its check-in desks "
This idea has been floating about for a while now.....
So in fact they do not at present !!!! and if it ws to be rolled rolled out i'm sure the IOM would not be the ONLY airport.
