Well the latest shenanigans are that ABZ based cabin crew are getting a £2500PA allowance for living in ABZ apparently to retain crew, This isn't the issue, the issue is roster stability and being spoken to badly and treated with the utmost disrespect by that oxygen thief excuse in NCL & HUY. This does not address the issue and is alienating non ABZ crew. Yet another example of mismanagement at EA. Well done!

Eastern - Latest?
What's the latest here chaps?
Still an on-going crew exodus or a steady ship nowadays?
Station Manager positions at Aberdeen and Sumburgh have come up. Folk moved on, pushed or new openings there? I may have people in mind who fit the bill if anyone has advice?

On another note...
After a long wait, BA Cityflyer have released their updated S14 schedule for the IOM-LCY route.
The service is back up to three daily and will be operated by Eastern with another Saab.
Any rumours on which aircraft and when it will be painted up?

Why do BA use Eastern for routes like IOM-LCY/LCY-DUS? Eastern don't fly there so if anything were to happen to the aircraft, there would be no other aircraft to replace it? Surely they'd rather go for an ABZ route?

When BA first introduced the Saab with the IOM-LCY service there was an engineer based over here. A local company then got certified for the engineering on the Saab and then took over the minor maintenance. Obviously every few months the aircraft had to position empty to ABZ for higher maintenance checks. This would then mean another Saab having to come to the IOM to operate the route. Doesn't make sense but BA must be paying Eastern enough to now operate two aircraft!
