Not related to the Embraers, but crew do continue to leave. Jumping, not pushed however.

Yes they do, and I think a lot more are about to with Easyjet, Aerlingus and now Jet2 opening the doors.

As some one said a few years ago 'eastern will survive the downturn but might not survive the upturn'

I now need to call crewing I have changes and a day bought of me because we are over crewed! TTFN

Flew from Norwich-Aberdeen tonight was expecting the Saab but got one of the emb-145 is this a permanent thing? as I much preferred flying on the Saab as a passenger.

Should be SAAB but could be anything from EMB135/145 or J41

Just out of genuine curiousity NB, why do you prefer the Saab? Surely the 145 is quicker/quieter/more comfortable? I'm just interested in why different aircraft types appeal.

Does the Newcastle based Embraer do anything other than its weekly run to Hamburg?

It used to do the afternoon NCL-ABZ-NCL-CWL-NCL service on Thursday until the summer season.

Maybe it's kept available for Charter services as most teams prefer to use jets.

Without a jet replacement to the E145/E135 surely Eastern will lose out on some ad-hoc charters as many tend to prefer jet aircraft.

For some reason EA don't seem to be "worried" at all about the amount of people leaving, flights being cancelled as they can't crew them, is this the end of EA? They have had a great run on bare minimum crew and max duty or will their eyes remain shut until too late!

Eastern do not deserve the hard working crews on such poor pay.

Eyes wide shut!

Eastern FO pay/Basing

CaptainSox

I've been looking at ppjn for the latest pay at Eastern. Unfortunately it's three years out of date. Would you mind giving me the yearly salary for a new FO including sector pay and any extras. Secondly, what are the chances, if offered the job, of getting NWI as a base.

Many thanks,
gp

PM also welcome.
