When BA first introduced the Saab with the IOM-LCY service there was an engineer based over here. A local company then got certified for the engineering on the Saab and then took over the minor maintenance. Obviously every few months the aircraft had to position empty to ABZ for higher maintenance checks. This would then mean another Saab having to come to the IOM to operate the route. Doesn't make sense but BA must be paying Eastern enough to now operate two aircraft!
