Are Eastern supporting oil work in the Shetlands at the moment, 3 or 4 daily runs up to Sumburgh as well as the Scatsta. Is the Jetstream operating these flights or is both them and the Saabs?
Am I right in thinking T3 have a contract between Farnborough and Milan on one of the Embraer's?

Have they moved the Milan contract out of Farnborough? Seems to be operating from both RNAS Yeovilton and Bristol at the moment. Also, anybody know where the Embraer goes the days it's not ops MXP-FAB, seems to position somewhere to then operate either 1063/4 and position back

Well with the lack of bitching in here either all the crews are now happy or they just don't have the time to post!

I hope it's the former.

Things are not great at all.
After the initial euphoria of a new management team, there now remains a deep and painful low. The realisation that the historic disruption, mismanagement, waste and disrespect is going nowhere fast, has hit home.

Wrong things

I spent some years flying for Eastern

The main problem, as I found it, was that throughout the company what you said was more significant than the facts. Those at HQ were able to tell lies secure that they would never be challenged. I hoped this would change but it never did. There was a continuing reluctance to make waves by delving into lies. It was seen as naieve to expect the truth telling lies was fair game and was never regarded as wrong even at company grievance hearings.

Those making a fuss about the lies or exposing them could expect to be punished by the system, usually through the roster

That must be about 4 times SOU has closed.

I didn't even know you had a base at BRS, I suppose if it had been open more than 2 weeks then it would have to close, like SOU.

I heard a rumour that Eastern were going to do holiday flights this year from HUY, anyone tell me where they are advertising them?

I was wondering if the flight would be like the famous Yorkshire airline video

They did look at leasing in suitable aircraft, but it was all left a bit late for this summer season. Maybe something which will be looked at again for the next season.

Only 2 crews for one EMB135 in MXP.
If you are type rated on it and have some experience in it, then send you CV to the chief pilot.
Otherwise, you are wasting your time.

any word on the survival of SVG-GLA now often only carrying single figure pax loads? Was always an outlying oddity.

NQY?
Please, onyxcrowle.

Imagine you were running an airline, and someone asked you to run a Humberside - Newquay route on a Jetstream 41 and to make a profit. It just isn't going to happen.

Of course I appreciate your desire, as a supporter of your local airport, to see it do well and thrive. But please keep things in the realms of reality and think your posts through before pressing the button. This really isn't just the place for wish-lists.

Blimey

best ask your permission before posting should we ?

But seriously onyxcrowle, I very much doubt we will see Eastern back at NQY other than the odd charter.

Eastern had the chance to operate routes at NQY after they purchased SZ, they decided to abandon the SZ routes which would of been ideally suited to the J41 and S2000

Poor show by Eastern as far as NQY is concerned in my opinion.

Cool

Aero Mad, Please.... don't take yourself so seriously..

Training ban in force at the moment and heard that it may be lifted in the next month. So any recruitment unlikely till then.

Cheers

If you speak for Eastern airways in answer to a genuine question citing a route used as an example , Then god help its customers!.
For the Record Huy has a weekly service to Jersey, So why would a destination to the southwest ( for example ) Not work on a similar basis?.
You have Aberdeen as a Destination but its a fair question as to weather Inv ( a tourist destination ) would work.
Or Edinburgh the Scottish captial.
Road and rail links from North Lincolnshire to the west Country and Highlands are quite far in terms of time and ease etc.
So its not an out of this world idea to ask if my local airline at my local airport will or would provide setvices to places currently unserved.
Those places did have links to Lba for example!.
