Any more news for new routes in 08?

There are loads:

Oxford
Cambridge
Aberdeen
Glasgow/Prestwick
Carlisle
Doncaster
Durham/Tees Valley
Bournemouth

On another note, what about the airline doing BLK-SEN route? Blackpool is dying for a London route and SEN seems to be the only airport that is not full at the moment. A four times daily service to the capital would be excellent and be only about the same distance as the GLO and LBA flights from IOM so fares wouldn't differ too much. There would certainly be demand! They could also have connecting flights to IOM.

Would be great for the airline and both airports. A strong route for Manx2, a London route for BLK and a regular service out of Southend. We all know how Manx2 love to explore the smaller airports!

BLK-SEN wont have any chance of working until there is improved access from SEN to London (i.e. build the proposed SEN railway station). Once that happens it might be worth taking a chance and having a go on the route

Manx2 release 10,000 seats at £15 to Belfast and Blackpool.

Another blow to Euromanx, whose tax on the Belfast route is £28 alone.....

Will also effect BE numbers to MAN. Not even BE are able to offer them that cheap!
Excellent tactics by Manx2!

Only a matter of time before EMX will become another airline of the past!

Both MAN and BLK are in the North West. If you lived in Preston, Blackburn, Leyland etc. and you were undecided on who to fly with and where from but were often drawn to BE with their cheaper fares, this could make a difference.

Obviously this won't make much of a difference as the flights only take 17 passengers each way!

I hear on fraggle news today that Manx2 are "acquiring" - whatever that means - 2x Dornier 228's
Another odd type for the "fleet" who operates these in airliner config at present?

Hi

The 2 DO228's that are coming manx2's way in the new year are from FLM Aviation.

See the following below

Rumours in the Channel Islands of Manx 2 operating Jersey-Alderney. ACI is the home of Manx 2's Noel Hayes. BOH is mentioned in a post above as a new destination for the airline, would the a/c perhaps route BOH-ACI-JER? Would the 228 get into ACI?

Rumours in the Channel Islands of Manx 2 operating Jersey-Alderney
There was an article recently in the JEP regarding Manx2 operating a service between Jersey and Alderney from next summer. They were also apparently considering operating a French destination from Jersey; Dinard or Granville were mentioned. I don't know how far the plans have progressed, but interesting nonetheless.

Ugly? Compared to the LET 410??

Predictions for Manx2 in 08, I can see them operating CWL, EMA and GLA or PIK. Not so sure about channel island expansion. Blue Islands are to established for Manxy2 to get in on the action yessir!
