Interested to know more about the 4th bridge as I think there will be only 3. There will be a bridge over the A505, another over the railway and the last one over the road to Wheathampsted.

Decent expansion by Monarch at LTN for S07. Substantial increase in freq on existing routes plus the two new routes of Valencia & Ibiza. Winter flights to Lanzarote & other routes, much more freq for W06/07 compared to W05.

About time too.

The stands on the hangar line are already occupied most nights

How about?
Park them in the hangers, open the doors am and push them out when u can.
first one back at night gets towed straight in after unloading! Only an idea?

Or park on the centre line of east apron overnight?

Back from my beach for a while, still lots of nothing going on!!

Not without agreement from the airline. Since a large chunk of maintenance is carried out overnight the hangar owning airline needs to be able to move aircraft in/out as necessary.

Luton Relic and the 'real' Buster certainly had a few spats with the engineers over who had rights and access to the maintenance stands. Nowadays, the issue is far more critical for the efficient operation of the entire airport I would guess?

Airlines might need a few extra tug drivers....now where is the Hungarian working these days, he knows his right from his left (but not his red from yellow), the only guy that I have seen touch down four times during a single landing at Luton, then get lost trying to find stand 89!

Anyone have a spare lifeboat only the road under the taxiway which is the only way in and out of the tinminal has flooded for the second evening running! Traffic chaos with the single file flow of vehicles!

Buster does not like the thunder and lightning!

Flooded Tinminal

Yes - I was in the Tinminal this afternoon and it was awash. Staff say it was much worse yesterday and have been bailing out for the last 24 hours.

Apparently the problems have been mainly in the 'new' immigration hall which flooded so badly that the immo boys and gals had to be relocated elsewhere and passengers routed through the back of the old terminal (which wasn't leaking).

How long has the immigration hall been open? - I think it's less than a year? Looks likes a classic case of 'lowest tender wins' on the build contract. I bet the Spanish are delighted with their excellent LTN management.

Minnie.

Take a walk by Costa Coffee in arrivals. Much of the floor has yellow tape where the new floor tiles have broken up. Now look at the floor with no tape. Superficially the floor seems fine but on closer examination nearly every tile is heavily cracked. Cracked tiles have been the curse of the construction project from the departure lounge to arrivals and yet new areas like in front of Costa were still laid with the same type of tile and the same company laying them only a few months ago.

Not for the first time. Amazing how somewhere on a hill can flood!
I can remember when the tunnel first opened seeing an abandoned car with water up to the windows. In those days the old terminal still had its original entrance so it was not too much of a crisis. I asked at a management meeting once what was the alternate plan to get people into and out of the central area if the entrance to the tunnel was blocked by a serious accident or a flood. The answer came back that there was no alternate plan.

So parts of the recent multi £million low cost tinminal extension are leaking?

As I have stated previously, the new facilities are freekin' cheap and in my humble bear opinion, very nasty! Well now they encompass shower facilities under certain weather conditions for all the customers lined up awaiting HM Govt approval to proceed into England, it is so blinkin' hot in there, the folk are probably grateful for a soaking!

Luton airport could always turn the tower into a lighthouse, maybe Vintage could hold an Aldis Lamp on a rotating chair to warn shipping in the vicinity during inclement weather conditions?

I understand that there is going to be a 'Biz Jet bonanza' over the coming 2 weeks, Wimbledon always triggers extra, but not too sure why more than normal are expected and not just for the tennis?

If you are flying from Luton and it rains heavily, remember to pack waders and a dingy!

Apparently a small airfield near Farnborough is having some sort of 7 day airshow
