I can almost understand why PIK may nit be geared up to accept guide dogs. It's very quiet and this sort of situation probably doesn't come up much. I don't think it's right that they don't have the facilities, but almost understandable.
I am however very surprised to see Edinburgh on their list of non-accpeted routes for guide dogs. If EDI is not set up to accept guide dogs then that is quite simply disgusting.

He claims Ryanair were happy to take him. It's unacceptable in this day and age not to have the infrastructure to deal with this. That's why so many lifts and ramps are being installed in more trying situations. The point seems to be that it is utterly avoidable and hence inexcusable. Any well managed facility would have seen this one coming and put in a work around or a fix.

RYANAIR, the world’s favourite airline, today (1 December) announced that it will add four new routes (25 in total) at Glasgow Prestwick from summer 2012 - to Barcelona, Bydgoszcz, Chania (Crete) and Corfu - which will sustain Ryanair’s traffic at Glasgow Prestwick to over 1.3 million p.a. resulting in 1,300 local jobs.
Ryanair celebrated this route announcement at its Glasgow Prestwick base by releasing 1 million £9.99 seats for travel across its European network in December and January. I've been throuh Prestwick a number of times since November, the whole terminal is freezing, with staff having to wear jackets and scarves!
Initially I was advised that the heating was faulty,however 3 months on and it is still isn't working.
Do you think they have turned it off on purpose due to the low number of passengers?

I think a lack of heating is probably something which a passenger discovers when they enter the terminal, rather than before they book their flight. If they have turned it off on purpose, it is probably to save money... I live without central heating and don't have too many problems so I can see why with their passenger figures.

Enterprise Zone status
I heard today that Enterprise status has been granted to four areas in Scotland with Prestwick being designated as the Aerospace Enterprise zone. Not seen any official press releases - anyone got any info?

Was the 2000 status not Freeport status which never worked as it was not really supported and wasn't specifically focused on Aerospace? There's a bit on the airports website.

All Northwest Orient and Air Canada timetables from the 1980s had Prestwick listed under 'G' as Glasgow (Prestwick), and just as an aside, London (Gatwick) was the only other one like this.
